Re: 2019/2020 PCX or SMAX
Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback. I’ll have to sit on the smax before I make a decision. I won’t be doing any freeway riding, so that’s not an issue. I live about 3 miles from my office, the drive is all twisty backroads so I thought the PCX would be perfect for that. I do live in an area ...

2019/2020 PCX or SMAX
Now that the new PCX models have a higher top speed, carry less weight and have a new gauge cluster, is there any reason to consider the SMax? I had a 2016 PCX and I sold it a year ago. I’ve regretted it, so I am looking to replace it. I loved how lightweight it was. I am considering the SMax, but i...

I think it suggested Taptalk the first time I visited the forum, but not since.

Wow, I forgot what it’s like to have power!
Since I bought my PCX my other bike (Honda 599) has been parked in the garage. I decided to take it out this morning and holy sh*t, I forgot what 100hp feels like. I don’t ride fast, but getting up to speed is instantaneous (of course) but I forgot what that felt like. When I got home I took a spin ...

Re: Second ride in my new 2016
I’m a new 2016 PCX rider as well. I’ve topped out at 60ish. On a long straight I could only get it a hair past 60, but it was slightly uphill.

Is the whole kit really necessary? Some posts suggested that after first doing the sliders adding the whole kit was just a subtle improvement.

Slider question
My PCX is completely stock. I’ve read many threads about changing to 13g sliders and it sounds like a good simple mod for a little more acceleration and uphill power. Is there a compromise to changing to these sliders? Will I still have the same low end torque?

Re: Nelson Rigg - Sun/Rain cover
That’s thought but the cover is designed with pockets for the handle bars,
I’m not sure if the larger one would cover much more.

Nelson Rigg - Sun/Rain cover
I purchased this cover from Amazon and it works pretty well. This is the medium and although it doesn’t fit perfectly, it does a decent job.
The cover is extremely light weight and has elastic at both ends along with Velcro straps. A storage sack also is included.

Re: Hello from a new PCX owner
Thanks, I think so too.
I can’t believe that I got it for $2200, it’s such a nice bike.
I keep looking for any opportunity to ride it.
I originally wanted a Vespa 300gts, but after test driving one, I knew I wanted something smaller and lighter. Also, every Vespa dealer in Pittsburgh has closed.

Re: Hello from a new PCX owner
The white is very nice, I had a hard time deciding between the two. There was a white 2015 with a few more miles for about $400 more. It was 2hrs away, so I opted for the 2016 since it was closer.

Hello from a new PCX owner
Hi everyone! I recently purchased a mint 2016 Dark Candy PCX with 437 miles. Reading the posts on this forum helped me to make the decision to buy the PCX over the Kymco and Yamaha competitors, so thank you! I’ve been riding motorcycles for 20 years, but this is my first scooter. I’ve only put about...
