Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
30 000 kms finally! If not for covid and restrictions/working from home the 30K km would have been reached alot faster :). Changed the rear tire today. The last heidenau K66 lasted 17 000 kms so I went again for the same type - good grip all year round which is not a luxury here during the winter ;)...

Re: where burb plug for bleeding air 2020pcx
So, when watching Mitch’s Scooter stuff video on YouTube about this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4oNMirMiJls he bleeds it out from the CYLINDER DRAIN BOLT at the bottom. He drains from the drain bolt. Bleeding is done trough radiator cap to expell any air bubbles within the radiator or other area...

Re: where burb plug for bleeding air 2020pcx
This is what my SM states: bleeding air coolant.png Last time I did it this way it worked out perfect. The first ride I took, I did carry some additional coolant under the seat - just in case. I had to add a little extra as the level went down again (so not fully bleeded by the SM procedure it seems...

Re: Maintenance procedure after stagnation.
Just follow the maintenance schedule as suggested by the service manual:
Also if its been standing a long time definitely check tires for wear and pressure.- Sat Oct 30, 2021 11:35 am

Ah yes, mine also hits 150 km/h (that's a whopping 93 mph) when I have it on the center stand and go WOT.

Re: Is this too much engine oil?
For what it's worth, even at 80,000km my oil consumption is minimal doing just city running (<50km/hr) - it's when I'm at wide open throttle for extended periods that the oil consumption increases considerably. I experience exactly the same at 30 000 km. My commute is 25 kms, 20 of it at WOT (90km/...

Re: 2013 PCX Front Brake Pad Change
Just make sure to clean the whole assembly (including the piston parts which are sticking out) with some brake disc cleaner before pushing the pistons back in (person in the video above did not do this).

Re: what has happened to this site?
It all started to go down in my opinion when covid started. Which somehow makes sense, lockdowns, people go out less hence less troubleshooting needed less stories to share.... On the other hand some old timers and people who contributed alot have left for various reasons in the past 1.5 year. For e...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Update: finally got my new speed sensor - took out the old one and in with the new in about 15 minutes (did not bother following the instructions in the SM and took some shortcuts so I did not have to remove the air filter housing completely). Did 2 test runs each 50km and so far no issues yet. When...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Quick update: rode to work today without the speed sensor working (again 99.9 l/100km on the display :) ), MIL light came on. Stated the DTC code for MAP sensor low voltage somehow... Only happened with strong backwind and probably -as the speed sensor also acts as as rev limiter I got beyond the no...

Re: 2018 Honda PCX has dead/no electrical at all
Oh forgot to mention; if the resistance is infinite between those points with key fully turned, you can still do as the SM states and get to the 4P connector to measure for continuity as they suggest if thats oke then its the wires going from there to the fuse box. Basically my route would be to eli...

Re: 2018 Honda PCX has dead/no electrical at all
Battery ok, fuses ok, relays ok. I'm thinking faulty ignition switch (or as the service manual calls it combination switch for the after 13' models). You could remove a lot of panels to check the switch for continuity as the SM suggest see image below: ignition switch.png Or - I looked at the electr...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Just an update; got to the 16P connector (took some shortcuts as I did not remove the front side cover panels) and performed all things stated in the SM (had some help from my wife as I could not connect my multimeter terminals at both the front and end of the bike at the same time) and I have ended...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Well the problem returned so it was not that cable. I got to the VS sensor quite easily (remove air filter cover) and the air filter housing bolts, lift up the air filter a bit and loosen the VS sensor protector cap and give it a good wiggle to get complete off. There was some iron like gritty depos...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Because I'm lazy and removing the cable proved quite a bit of hassle as I had to remove the battery to get easy access to the connector . Some say laziness brought the Roman empire down - if all holds up it also brought my PCX down :-D.

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Ok I think I found what was wrong - that is I just rode 50 kms without any issue. 20210824_223223 (1).jpg This is how my lid cover is now in place. Notice the cable coming out which states lonelec - some years ago I attached this cable in an attempt to be able to connect an ODB thingy to it to conne...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Well glanced at it, all seems to be secure. Rode home today from work going 0 km/h for the whole time. Never saw the fuel consumption that high as it does sees fuel being consumed but no kms are recorded of course... I checked the service manual and next thing is to check the VS sensor as its the le...

Re: Strange behavior speedometer
Check! As tight as they can be. I should note that after some kms I was able to get off this national road and shut down the engine - restarted; it was there again but after a couple of restarts it seemed to be fine. Rode another 30 kms after the incident and haven't seen it behaving like that again...

Strange behavior speedometer
Hi, Yesterday I was riding my pcx just fine until all of a sudden my speedo was indicating 0 km/h while I was easily going 90 km/h. Next it started going erratically from 0 to 140 back and forth and sometimes just kept sticking at a certain speed. Has anyone ever had a similar issue and does anyone ...

On my Pcx the correct tire pressure is stated on the side of the seat storage - so open the storage under the seat and check.
