Re: First warranty claim, condensation in dash
Just heard from my dealer, (who is still locked down) that Honda have approved warranty claim, apparently for the whole speedometer assembly, they will let me know when the part arrives and can be fitted. Strange if it is the whole assembly, not that I’m complaining, really just want to ride and esc...
Re: Roll Call
Ok in Cornwall but can’t use scooter for unnecessary travel, my Honda dealer closed for duration so can’t check on warranty claim for dash condensation.

Re: First warranty claim, condensation in dash
Was there anything obviously wrong with the original screen? No news from my dealer as yet, only been a week, and there’s quite a bit going on at the moment!

Re: First warranty claim, condensation in dash
How did your test ride go? Still waiting to hear from dealer, but I suppose everything is up in the air at the moment.

Re: First warranty claim, condensation in dash
I agree regarding water staying on the lower portion of the screen, I only ride in the rain if the weather forecast is wrong! I initially thought that was the problem, but recently the condensation only appears after riding in cold dry conditions, nothing to do with water ingress. I don’t allow any ...

Re: First warranty claim, condensation in dash
Hmmm, my dealer said Honda might do that, (just the cover), his thoughts were that it wouldn’t fix it, but hey ho.
How long did it take from diagnosis to decision?

Re: First warranty claim, condensation in dash
I will update as soon as I hear from the dealer, I tried an incandescent bulb balanced on the front fork for a couple of hours (whilst stationery I hasten to add), just to see if a small amount of heat would make a difference. It seemed to keep the condensation build up at bay when I rode the bike f...

First warranty claim, condensation in dash
Took my 2018 PCX 125 to dealer today to check out the condensation in my speedo, no hassles, took a photo, noted mileage, not concerned about lack of 2nd service (did it myself). Sending claim off to Honda for complete new speedo/dash. Amazed! Can’t work out where condensation is coming from though,...

Re: what was your previous bike?
Kawasaki ER 5 500, had to go lighter due to back problems, just had spinal operation, but will keep the PCX, got used to the easy life, if somewhat slower. Been riding since 1969, so lots of bikes, but think this will be the last one.

Re: I couldn't do it
I don’t think any vehicle ticks every box, nowadays I just need something to give me that freedom that only two wheels can give. I have recently been looking at a Royal Enfield Indian made Bullet, to return to my motorcycle beginnings, or a BMW 310 r that is fast enough for me. But then I think abou...

Re: New Honda pcx 125
Hi Steve, welcome to this site, you will find most of the posts are from the USA, but there are a few of us from the UK , I’m in Cornwall. I got mine in 2018 when I retired, health reasons meant I needed something light, I had a Lambretta back in 1969 as my first bike, but had motorbikes ever since....

Re: 2018 PCX whistle sound
Mine has done nearly 4000 miles, I get similar noise ,but only on over run. I have noticed it more during the summer because my summer helmet is open faced, and it allows more sound to reach my ears. I get the feeling that noises on these little bikes are very subjective, some owners hear them, othe...

Enjoyed your video, probably been pointed out that it doesn’t have combined brakes, otherwise nice introduction to a fantastic bike.

Re: Different regional color codes, but same color?
The colours are definitely different depending on the source country, the only logical, although cynical, reason I can come up with, is that the steep European prices are protected. I had a lower footboard panel with minor scratches that I wanted to replace, the Thailand price was well under half of...

Re: Bridge, Sycamore, Neighborhood
I vaguely remember a film called Bridges of Madison County, due to Hollywood etc, a lot of the USA seems so familiar, I recall fondly the old style westerns when the good guys won, not like that anymore.

Did they cover them to protect the “road” surface,or for some other reason?
