Re: Electric supercharger install
I was always under the impression that either with nitrous, or a super or turbo charger, that the bottom end of an engine had to be fortified before it was viable… (With forged components) Can the PCX take the bottom end load? Thats a myth. I work for a pretty reputable Performance parts Manufactur...

Don't waste your money buddy. Unless you carry a 16v battery strapped to your back independent from the bike.Mikes150pcx wrote:Here's the electric supercharger. About the tuning I'm going to watch the the lean/ rich very carefully!
Spend that money on a good variator and weights, Instantly 5-10mph faster.

Re: Ordered a new windscreen
I often ride the highway to visit my folks. Granted I cruise 60 with ease, I wonder how much easier I would be able to maintain 65+ with help of a screen.
In for results.

Re: Electric supercharger install
This is going to be entertaining.
Pretty sure you wont maybe 3PSI of boost from a 12v "fan"
Anyways, with some tuning you can maintain 70 without this. lol plus you are going to lean out the engine if you make any boost at all.

Re: Acceleration test
My top speed with the NCY and DR.pulley 13g weights before was ~71 MPH. I didn't use the Dr. Pulley weights because they looked worn out, but I might just try them out again. Cool results Gil. Was curious how stock variator would stack up. Stopping competitions would be more relevant to scooter rid...

Re: Adjustable Levers?
Personally, the feel is better. The levers are shorter and adjustable and the throw/pull just seems stronger. Play is better similar to stock.Gil wrote:Why do people install these? Do they have less play than the OEM ones?
Number 1 reason, they just look better.

Re: questions from a soon-to-be rider
ll give my $0.02 if its not to late. 1. Look for used ones. You Never know you might get lucky like me and find an almost new one for much cheaper. I will agree that stock to ride 100+miles on highway is a little sketchy, but is very much doable if its a must. Couple mods cruising 65+ is easy but th...

Acceleration test
I know this forum is not all about performance and more commuter centric. I come from a very performance oriented background and still work in the industry. I had hopes for this PCX to accelerate as fast as possible not so much top speed. Just wanted to compare Apples to Apples. Would be cool to com...

Re: Clutch chatter
Just a recent observation. Bike was running great, jumped on the Freeway to cut down my commute and was smashing 70+ for maybe 20 minutes. Came to a stock and clutch started to engage around 1,000rpms lower than usual. Turned out I rotated a DP slider inside my NCY Vario. Removed Variator, Lightened...

Re: Port-N-Polish Throttlebody
Nice Work, I have a spare engine, I might just follow your lead. This is an easy mod you can do just to smooth the runner. I think bigger gains are to be made in the cylinder head. Might look into purchasing a new/used head and port and polish it. New Cylinder head is $100+ so need to think about i...

Re: Port-N-Polish Throttlebody
What I ended up doing is Wet sanding the casting marks on the Manifold. The Manifold doesnt have much meat on it to port as well as the TB. Took some 600grit wet sanding paper and smoothed the whole thing. The Throttle response is a little noticable but the Smoothness of acceleration from 25-50 is r...

You should probably figure out whats wrong before asking for parts. Could be something simple or something very serious.

Started the Tear down on the Stock TB. Im keeping the new TB together and hacking the older one to experiment. Re: Port-N-Polish Throttlebody
You definitely know what you are doing. What's your goal, more top end power? No more top end. Im already hitting 77 on the limiter. I want snappier throttle. Im a sucker for snappy throttle response and maybe a little more midrange. Its kind of a dog between 30-60mph. Got the new TB in the mail ye...
