Re: Iron Butt on a PCX?

My longest ride was about 800 miles over two days. Lots of fuel stops, thanks to the small fuel cell. I'm getting a couple of 750ml fuel cans to put on the scoot for some extended range. The most interesting fuel situation was finding out a town on the map didn't have a gas station. I was running lo...

Re: First boo boo

One thing I've found that works good for minor nicks and scratches is fingernail polish.
There are so many different colors, it is easy to find a very close match.
And, they are cheaper than "official" touch-up paints.
Use a fine artist paint brush and it comes out very nice.

Re: The light in the trunk under the seat

One thing that I've found when dealing with sticky-back velcro, is to heat the area with a heat-gun(hair blow dryer will work too). It makes the adhesive stick better. I have done this before and after application and it has worked very well, even in hot/cold temperatures. Just don't heat it enough ...

Re: I feel like taking a gamble.

dgnyberg, this is where I installed the tiny strobe lights. I am not sure if they are large enough to be seen during the daytime, but they are great at night and are not too large. I have a switch on the handlebar for them as well. Strobe light location.jpg I like where you installed your extra lig...

Re: I feel like taking a gamble.

dgnyberg, I am not sure where you installed you lights, but if they are like where mine are installed they will need to be aimed down a bit further if they are bothering oncoming traffic. You can usually look at them and tell if they are going to aim too high once the beam is a certain distance awa...

Re: I feel like taking a gamble.

Hey, Mel, I got a question.
I installed some 6-LED lights for night driving, but they are so bright,
I have to turn them off in oncoming traffic. Then, the stock lights are
way too dim to see. Any ideas? Yeah, I have the 2013 model, too.

Re: Question. . . Is this on the forum somewhere??

Well, thanks for the good healing wishes!! The seat has been neutered (humpectomy) and I've added some "mickey mouse" padding. I bought am ATV seat pad, which helped a little on comfort and covered the patched holes in the original seat. Then, I bought a small foam cushion and put it under...

Re: Question. . . Is this on the forum somewhere??

Thanks for the responses!! Thanks for the links, and I'll keep looking around.
My longest ride was about 800 miles in 2 days.
Then, I jammed my knee on a local ride. Hope to be back riding soon!!

Question. . . Is this on the forum somewhere??

I just thought of an interesting add for the forum. I've looked around, but haven't seen an area like this. Is it possible, or is there already, am area where people talk about the rides they take? Not a day by day, I road to work today, but an area where people talk about interesting rides they tak...

Re: Well... I dumped it.

I came close to dumping mine a couple of weeks ago. My results were the opposite of yours. . . I saved the scooter and hurt myself. I was coming to a stop and the front brake grabbed tight for some reason. The scoot did a stoppie, the rear came up and around to the left. There was another bike on th...

My son has a ZX14 that he doesn't ride since he bought his Grom. He's 6'4" tall and the Grom looks tiny when he's on it, but he loves riding it. Grom on!!

Re: To ride or not to ride?

Once I got the extra seat pad, I was able to spend the day out riding. The Three Twisted Sisters route in Texas. Put nearly 500 miles on the scoot in a day, including getting there and getting home. Back-roads mostly, a few miles on the interstate. Started about 6am and got home about 8pm. Long rid...

Re: PCX seat hump removal

Lots of responses!! Thanks to everyone. I removed the bolt mounts, but there is still a bit of an upward angle to the back of the seat. It's not that I'm that tall(5'10") it's that I have bad knees and back. I sit with my feet in the front position on the floorboards, and my legs as straight as...

LED mods to 2013 PCX 150.

Okay, I searched and couldn't find any detailed info on what my plan is. I am replacing the standard Turn Signals with Driving lights. They mount fine and look good. I want to move the turn signals into the lower portion of the headlight assembly. I have some strip amber LED lights. when I hooked th...
