Re: How Many Watts is the PCX 150 Charging System? Over 300?

Here is a front picture of my bike. Notice two little LED lights under the main headlights, and the two LED spot lights , one on each side of the front wheel.
Hey Mel, really nice looking set-up on your PCX. Thanks for the suggestions on the LEDs. 8)

Re: Turn signal relay with a buzzer

One of the things I like about my Genuine Roughhouse is that the turn signals sound off with a loud "CLICKING" when they are used. . .it really does get the attention of pedestrians when you are at a traffic stop/light so that they know you may turning. I haven't researched what components...

Re: How Many Watts is the PCX 150 Charging System? Over 300?

At this point I'm leaning more towards LEDs based on what I'm hearing/reading. That's a too bad your H4 55W melted the reflector.

Re: Not starting :-(

A few added thoughts: It is not uncommon for side stand safety switches to fail. . .on any brand. I did buy a brand new battery one time for a motorcycle and it failed on me in a week. I tried to save some money and it was a mistake. . .although it was supposed to fit my machine. I couldn't understa...

Re: Not starting :-(

Right I got my old spark plug and did what you suggested and the spark is intermittent. I'd say about 10-20% of the time. Are you having us on???? Sorry. . .just kidding. . .I know it's painful when you invest time and money into your ride and it fails to deliver. . . Another poster me...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.

Hi Mr. Sun Bird, And thank you for your service in the USAF. :) Except for a Triumph 250 Trophy I had years ago I've always bought either Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, or Kawasaki machines. More recently I purchased my first scooter. . .a Genuine Roughhouse R50 (actually made by PGO of Taiwan). It's a blas...

Re: How Many Watts is the PCX 150 Charging System? Over 300?

Maybe LEDs would be the way to go with the lower power draw on the system. It seems to be the new trend. . .

Re: Best trip average km/l or mpg

Let me clarify that. . .your 95RON would actually equal our 91 or 92 Octane in the U.S.. Our 87 Octane would equal your 91 or 92RON. It's just that here in the U.S. we basically have 87 (Regular), 89 (Mid-Grade), and 91 or higher (Premium) Octane to choose from. Sometimes it can be as high as 93 Oct...

Re: Best trip average km/l or mpg

Phenomenal. . .and you're still breaking it in right? Are you using Shell V-Power (99RON)? Or super unleaded (97/98RON)? Or premium unleaded (95RON)?

Your premium unleaded (95RON) would be like our regular unleaded (87 Octane). It contains about 10% ethanol.

Re: south florida riding

I'm on the CT coast and can tell you we still have a good amount of snow on the ground. Warmer temps are coming and I anticipate a lot of melting. . .and already they are saying it will put a dent in the drought we've been having. Extended forecast looks wet but not super cold. . .March kind of cold...

Re: Good find

These Honda PCX filters are somewhat like paper lawnmower filters right? When I clean my lawnmower filters I bang them on a flat surface if they start looking dirty. A lot of dust and sometimes insect remains come out of them at the end of the season or if I mulch a lot of dry leaves. They do get to...

How Many Watts is the PCX 150 Charging System? Over 300?

I may elect to put some auxiliary lights on my PCX when I get it this year and had difficulty trying to find how many Watts the PCX 150 charging system is good for. If it's less than 300 Watts then I've got to use 35W bulbs but if it's more than that I could use 55W bulbs for the particular brand I'...

Re: Life of my baby

This is how I installed the "Night-Cutters" on my Bandit. It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to do the same thing on a new PCX. That being said I'll try to figure out if one of the other installation options would work. . .or do a little skill and drill. As I've said before I'm goin...

Re: Life of my baby

Lights are just amazing. £4 for set of two or even cheaper if you can wait month when ordering from China. I've noticed a lot of cars giving way as it simply makes my scooter look like a BIG bike. Good point! Might is right as they say. . . ;) I put auxiliary lamps on my Suzuki Bandit (SAENG/TA Nig...

I know what you mean. I would hope there is sponsorship to ease the cost of that build.

And you really have to put your money where it's going to do the most good. . .

The machine is definitely a "big deal" and a key event for all the PCX enthusiasts IMHO. 8)

Re: Honda PCX 1/4 mile

Not trying to compare apples to oranges but at Bangkok Harley Davidson a 2016 Sportster Forty Eight went for around the equivalent of $25,000 U.S. dollars, or around $900,000 THB. That is about double the price in the U.S.. The new "Roadster" would be around that price also. . .and frankly...
