Re: Ethanol in fuel ?

LOL on the neighbours truck!

I can actually hear my PCX ping on Shell low test gas. Esso (ExxonMobil) runs great. Speedway in the states runs fine too. Meh. To each their own... But I always avoid the no name stuff.

Re: Using non ethanol? A improvement?

I have used Seafoam in carb and FI car and small engines for 40 years. Great cleaner and fuel stabilizer (up to 2 years). Plus it doesn't turn into thick goo like Stabil if left in more than a year. As previously stated there is definitely a fuel economy boost using non ethanol. In larger engines (r...

If anyone needs some LEDs http://www.superbrightleds.com is having a sale through Monday. 15% off, code MEMDAY17 I love my ultra bright taillight bulb in red. Yes it's oversized but fits perfectly in the PCX and it's truly plug and play (except if you added accessory LEDs per Mel) it's found here: h...

Re: New PCX owner in Michigan

Sorry, I miss typed on my phone. I meant loose valves=loss of HP. Not lots, as stated we don't start with tons :) In Honda automotive engines valve lash set cold at factory specified clearances makes the most power on the dyno vs any combo of intake loose, exhaust tight and vise versa. Even just to ...

Re: New PCX owner in Michigan

Homie: he makes a good point. Loose valves =lots of power and MPG. Tight valves can =a burnt valve (depending on severity of course but a few hundred thousants will not cause issues).

Adjust those valves! :)

Re: New PCX owner in Michigan

Welcome and nice ride! I'm sure you will enjoy it immensely. Yes the fuel economy is staggering. I have averaged US 102MPG since I purchased mine almost 3,500km ago. Really great bike for what it is.

Cheers!

Re: Honda PCX 2013 - Changing LED Headlight

I also did the switch about a year ago and used the Posi-tap connectors. It's an HS5 bulb but currently not on ebay where I found mine. Hmmm. Hope you can find a decent price somewhere. Remember you need two.
