Re: New arrival ;)
Thanks everyone Unfortunately she mostly likes sleeping on me so I never get a chance! She did let me put her down on the bed from 7am to 9am though, so I'm just about coping with another day... I need to get tougher with her! She's clearly got me wrapped around her teensy tiny little finger...

Re: some personal bad news...
Great news! Now that makes perfectly clear sense to me! Congratulations on being pregnant and for making the right decision to sell your scoot. Wonderful that you could sell your PCX to a fellow member. Sounds like everything is falling into place for you and Josh. Please let us know when the wee o...

Re: some personal bad news...
Bought from Emily, famous for organizing the only UK rideout Lol, I forgot about that 'achievement'... That was the day Josh locked his keys in his scooter - I had to do an extra 25ish miles with lactic to get the spare set. Imagine if that hadn't happened... I'd have only reached a grand tot...

Re: Tiniest bit of a meet?
We've just got our scooters back after their first service, and now that they're in perfect working order (Josh's battery was flat!) and clean (my seat was covered in rat sh*t - blurgh!) I want to go somewhere on them! We're looking at getting a garage a few miles away - it'll be cheaper and probabl...

Re: Yorkshire 'Meet Up'?
I thought you said every second weekend? And then you were away on the 31st?
I think I'm going to Middlesbrough one weekend, and the weekend that includes the bank holiday is probably the weekend for that!

Sorry that it's no good for some of you. It's a shame there aren't many people interested who live nearby!

Re: Yorkshire 'Meet Up'?
So... what's happening with this meet up? I finally got my scooter insured again; managed to get it for just over £600 which might sound like a total rip-off but it's actually a little cheaper than last year :P But yeah, the good weather is already on the way out so don't want to leave it TOO long. ...

"Solo M/C" parking - can I park in it all the time?
I'm still having trouble with my insurance. There are a few policies that I can just about afford, but I want to confirm they are completely accurate before choosing them (on some websites there is no option for parking away from home, but others have a section for that). One of the options is "...

Re: Insurance Issue
I'd just like to thank everyone for sharing stories about how cheap your insurance is. They've really helped.
I still haven't found the motivation to go looking again. Might leave it until Friday when I've got another day off (I've got tomorrow off, but have decided to spend it crafting!).

Re: Insurance Issue
I think my biggest issue is parking it away from home. A lot of them are simply refusing to cover because of it. I decided not to bother looking any more this evening - I will continue at some point tomorrow I think. I need to renew it by the 21st so I've got a bit of time, at least. A man from CIA ...

Re: Insurance Issue
Thanks for all the links. I had a look on the Tesco one and they seem to have several that are cheaper than Compare the Market, which I was using earlier. I will have to have a good look though, as some of the reviews are shocking! I will work through the rest later this evening; filling in details ...

Re: Insurance Issue
Did a search using Compare the Market, and didn't realise they had the wrong scooter info (I'd put in my reg number but it keeps linking it to a different bike) - MCE quoted just under £500 for that, even though I'd put the value at the same etc. Why is it they can insure one type when parked elsewh...

Insurance Issue
I've had my scooter for about a year now, so I've had to sort out a new tax disc and I'm having to look at insurance too. Last year I was with MCE. I've just rang them to discuss a quote I got online (even more expensive than last year - £743!) and they've told me they can't insure me because I park...
