I like the tall too. Looks a little goofy , but does calm things down considerably.

Re: PCX 150 for 60 miles/day?
Definitely not a good idea.. The wind is relentless and at speeds above 45 will require more rider diligence and work. Not impossible just might get tiring playing in the wind over 45.Get a tall shield if you are tall. Best suited for pleasure riding or short curvy jaunts .

Re: Potential New Owner of a PCX125 (UK - Manchester)
My opinion the bike is super cool looking, and rides fairly nice with an optional seat. I think its best in speeds 45 and under unless you get some windshield that fits your height. The wind factor takes its toll on a long highway ride. Also a little light for the expressway ..lots of nimble fun . Th...

Tall Windshield National Cycle ??
Looking for someone with experience using a tall windshield on their PCX. Looks like National Cycle makes the tallest. I am 6 ft and need something that can deflect the wind over me. Any extensions / deflector ideas. Appreciate comments ..thx

Re: PCX design flaw--IMHO
I think that's a good point. The foot pads are narrow. You will re think this spill over and over as it is natural to go over the progression of the event. Foot pads definitely could be wider in my opinion too. Scooters will offer no protection as opposed to a motor cycle for sure but your point is v...

Risk Exponentially increases with speed and ratio to size.. Be careful! Its not what is known that will get you ?Oyabun wrote:Well. In fact motorcycle riding in general is a "naïve risk taking exercise" :-)

Re: Fatter tyres after motorway scare
Yes, pushing the limits on most anything pushes the skill factor as well.. PCX as you say is a commuter bike and that's its primary comfort zone..35-45mph. Going 50 -65 mph is equivalent of a car doing 125 and does in fact push the skill limits however also negatively affects the comfort and stress ...

Re: Fatter tyres after motorway scare
Pcx 150 best speed is 35-45 mph. When you get up to 50mph (+) brakes and stability become questionable. A car is designed for 125mph but doing that can be suicidal..Same with the PCX.. After 50 mph things get dicey . I have the stock windscreen and just a tweek of my body affects stability and handl...

America, the land where toddlers regularly shoot people. Gotta love that wunnerfool American freedumb. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/11932821/toddler-shooting-gun-controls-america.html No need to insult other's homelands. Very uncouth. Insulted? Seriously? Did you read ...

Re: 45 mph...or hurricane ?
Why do people in cars have to wear seat belts and those who ride motorcycles don't, Why do bicyclists have to wear a helmet and motorcyclists do not.Just not consistent. Its prudent to wear a helmet but in my opinion should not be mandatory as well as seat belts should not be mandatory. There is a p...

Re: Tyre Choice
Someone posted an alternative make that gets great reviews and is cheaper than the City Grips (and seems to have better grip too). Heidenau K66 - no idea on longevity or real world performance, but seems worth considering. I don't think they come in specified size Honda recommends 90/90-14 or 100/9...

Re: 45 mph...or hurricane ?

I think a taller shield is essential equipment. I even wonder why HONDA installs such a miniature windscreen? What ...

45 mph...or hurricane ?
I have been hitting 45 -50 lately and the wind hitting me is like a hurricane blasting me . I don't have a helmet , and no windshield,(other than stock). What are best ways of handling the wind. I wonder how freeway driving would be with that amount of wind hitting the body. The PCX is a bit light f...

Re: Windshield dynamics
Since I am 5' 11" I think that the tall windscreen would be best suited for me. I don't think I will lose speed because my body is a bigger drag than an aerodynamic smooth plexiglass deflector, wouldn't you think ??Might help with the speed ?

I noticed at around 45-50 mph there is a significant amount of head wind . I have the stock short version Honda windscreen. Will the tall version make a difference or create a sail affect. Advantages / Disadvantages??.. Appreciate thoughts , and experiences. Thanks

Jacking (lifting) PCX 150
Does this scooter have specific jacking instructions or lift points to raise this bike up a couple feet? How is it done ? Thx
