Re: PCX won't start in cold
My first instinct would be a weak battery, but you say it starts fine after warming a bit. I would then think it would be a PCM problem. The on board computer is failing to complete it's engine sensor checks and cannot get any feedback to start the engine. Because this event only takes place when fr...

Re: Chrome wheels
Good information..thanks Also looking into some nice polished or brushed aluminum wheels. Bet they would look nice on black bike..Not much in the US I suppose for the PCX. I know chrome can be done over aluminum but they first have to fuse a nickel layer first then chrome I believe ??

Re: Whine sound coming from the back left side
I don't know what HONDA has for a maintenance schedule on the driveline , but those needle bearings need periodic greasing. If dirt can get in then grease can go out. My assumption is that a lot of these problems and noises can be resolved by a periodic cleaning and greasing schedule. Maybe every co...

Re: Regular Long Distance Riding
[quote="flyingzonker"]It probably wouldn't destroy the scooter, but at 60 mph the PCX is too light to feel comfortably stable--for me anyway.I think it is meant to be an about town machine--it is happier between 35 to50 mph, happiest, I find, doing 45. But this opinion may owe something to...

Re: PCX125 buzzing sound, very annoying
I bet the buzzing is a simple fix.. Did anyone ever try running the bike with the variator cover off to see if the harmonics change at all. Anyone ever stethoscope the engine/transmission and all around for sound comparisons or check the timing chain tensioner for mis alignment or looseness. How ab...

Re: Rear Wheel - Audible Clicking Noise When Spinning
Sounds like a bearing ..swing arm bearing?? Try adding some oil on the swing arm bearing and see if the sound changes. Go from there by turning the shaft and listen for roughness and grinding sounds..

Re: And yet another windscreen topic
There is no magic bullet here. I am 5 11 and the National screen is very good considering . Yes some wind over the top but not nearly as bad without it. It helps a lot. As far as getting blown all around, I know the feeling. At 6 feet + - its going to get ya!.. Will blow you around and no getting aw...

Re: Removing/Changing spark plug on a PCX 150
You certainly do have some nice twisty roads in Georgia. I go up to Hiawassee and Helen quite frequently and always drive the Blue Ridge.Just haven't done it on my PCX.. Would like to as the BRP is totally designed for slow cruising and scenic beauty. I think speed limit max is 30 mph and that would...

Re: Removing/Changing spark plug on a PCX 150
I would love to ride the blue ridge.. At 30 -35 mpg would be a nice cruising speed and relaxing to see the scenic vistas without someone charging up your ass. I'm sure there will be some but the cutouts would help. On my bucket list. Just don't know if I could tow an RV and the bike together with my...

Re: ...Erm, hello...
Welcome.. Yes, the PCX is a bit noisy so wearing ear plugs would help a lot.. navigating windy conditions is always challenging on the PCX. Especially going up long grades or steep hills a blast of wind will cut your speed dramatically so always be aware and stay on the throttle to keep pace.Cross w...

Re: Fun day with a Twist
The installer was Dave (Maddiedog). We thought the torque was correct, but we surmise that the belt might have been in the wrong position on the clutch from when I had shut it down previously. I think it had to do with the belt being high on the clutch vs loose enough to allow us to place it where ...

J Costa variator Advantages ??
The Honda rollers seem to be loud and rattle about but perform nicely( just noisy).. I was wondering when looking at the Costa design it should be considerably quieter.Instead of rolling and rattling the force is exerted by gliding. Anyone have any hands on experience with this variator and its nois...
