Re: PGM-FI Controller for first generation PCX150 (KF12)
I was going to install it with yumi 164 kit as piston has 150 size valve cut outs. never goes all the way to the top of the barrel but rather stop a good 2-3mm from the top before retracts so i see no danger where the valves may meet and interfere with flat head piston. Welcome back. Do you mean th...

Re: PGM-FI Controller for first generation PCX150 (KF12)
I wish one day Vlad one day can come back. He told me the other day that he planned on installing the 150esp head on his "angry chainsaw". That leads to perhaps another big question. Because fitting a 150esp head with bigger valves is going to lower the compression ratio, not to mention if...

Re: 2013 PCX not as fast as before.
good stuff from everybody... what is confusing to me about the different variater, weights, sliders vs. rollers, etc is that it seems to me that the specs from honda are there for a reason. For example, if a different variator/roller/slider weights improve performance, then why doesn't honda do thi...

Re: 2013 PCX not as fast as before.
Today things seem better as far as the top-end goes. Maybe the new clutch needed to be broken in. I'm not sure but it is running pretty well. So now I'm going to be looking into getting a new variator and Dr. Pulley sliders in hopes of getting a few more top-end mph, as well as a faster take-off. I...

Re: 2013 PCX not as fast as before.
Dr Pulley sliders makes the acceleration and transition a little smoother and offer higher gear for better take off and lower gear for better high speed than stock rollers, theoretically. In practice I tried 12.5g sliders, those of the SH 150 and it makes the engine a little noisier but take off and...

Re: PGM-FI Controller for first generation PCX150 (KF12)
I've checked my spark plug. I'm running way too rich, but not enough charge is entering my combustion chamber, worsens the situation. I'll leave it like that for now and wait for my engine rebuild. I steer away from the high performance camshaft though. Would like to see if the 164cc perform on the...

Re: PGM-FI Controller for first generation PCX150 (KF12)
IMHO the stock oxygen sensor is quite limited because they're narrow band which mean they're pretty stupid. Only tell if the AFR is shifting away from 14.7, my mechanic even think about wiring an resistor to increase the output voltage to trick the ECU, I don't have any idea if it's even right theor...

Re: PGM-FI Controller for first generation PCX150 (KF12)
Reggy said only the PCX150 has the problem of leaning out and riching up at the wrong time, other 125 esp ECU are fine with a bigger injector. For me the choice seems to be pretty clear. Low cost, plug and play => Yuminashi or APITech. Sophisticated systems for serious tuners => Bazzaz or PCV, if yo...

Re: PGM-FI Controller for first generation PCX150 (KF12)
This is technically a piggy back Fuel Injection controller. If you're really thinking about build a motor this is something you may want to invest in, until they actually make a Full Standalone ECU. http://www.yuminashi.eu/pgm-fi-controller-for-pcx150-v1-2012-2014/?setCurrencyId=3 I think that stan...

Re: Need help with cylinder head and valves.
That picture is terrifying. btw is that a 150 head or a 125? You can buy yuminashi camshaft. Pick the RR version, reggy said it's compatible with esp 150cc engines. I guess, pop in the entire 150 head with double springs, slide in the yuminashi RR cam and you're good to go. Not sure about the 60mm p...

Re: 16v head and ABS upgrade possible for PCX
My mechanic knows a guy who knows a big guy that works for Honda. Maybe he can get it. But still a lot of money though. No way I can do it alone on a student budget. Already struggling to get a torque gun  . If I can get someone adventurous enough who happens to have a lot of spare money, this ...

Re: 16v head and ABS upgrade possible for PCX
Well my mechanic said that after taking a look at the schematics closely he thinks it would fit just fine, may need some minor mods to actually fit it into the frame. But the sensors locations, sensor type would be wayyyyyy off. may go crazy and buy the entire FI system with the forza 125 ECU.

Re: Need help with cylinder head and valves.
+1 on that e-mail thing. I tried to contact Hispeedpiston to order a clutch set, customer support is unbelievably horrendous. Take more than 1 day to reply, no paypal, no bank account, I've heard good things about their products, but this kind of customer support is ridiculous. I think that a 62mm i...

Re: 16v head and ABS upgrade possible for PCX
I know a guy running a full 150cc set, cylinder head, piston, and so on. He claims to have been able to hack into the ECM of his engine. It's a variant of the Click 125i esp from where I'm from. He said he has put the kitaco gear and the yuminashi gear set into his final drive and his time from 0-10...

Re: Need help with cylinder head and valves.
YOU need the hi lift rocker arms for that cam!(or grind(file)your stock ones... been there done that  Thank you, I will order those rocker arms then. In the mean time, would it make too much damage to the stock rocker arms or the yuminashi camshaft? By the way, did you happen to measure the ma...

Re: Need help with cylinder head and valves.
I'm running a modded SH150 variator How much did the guy machine off? I have an SH150 variator, might try the same That is one advantage you have with SH150 being made there. Yeah it costs about 10 bucks here from honda dealership. I don't know how much, the guy is a pain in the *ss when asked abou...

Re: Need help with cylinder head and valves.
Well I had to machine my Sonic piston to avoid piston valve touching. And I have tried the largest possible diameter exhaust tube, as straight as possible, no help with the valve bouncing. I think I'll try it. 1 set of Sonic springs like you said and 2 yuminashi rocker arms. Shipping motorcycle part...
