Re: Is 2019 Honda PCX California Freeway Legal? (min 150 cc)
Looking forward to reading your comparison of the SMax vs. PCX 150. I've heard the SMax will travel well into the 70 MPH range. . .and some reports have it touching 80 MPH. :o Thanks, yeah I'm still in the break in stage which is 600 freaking miles! I think we have sunny weather tomorrow and I have...

Re: Is 2019 Honda PCX California Freeway Legal? (min 150 cc)
Also, I'd be more worried about civil v. criminal liability for riding a 149cc scooter on the highway. For example, I could definitely see an insurance company's attorney arguing that their insured driver was not at fault for rear ending you on the highway because you were illegally riding a "m...

Re: Is 2019 Honda PCX California Freeway Legal? (min 150 cc)
So the new 2019 PCX's engine displacement has been reduced to 149cc from 153cc of the prior model years. Honda official description for prior years mentioned it being freeway legal and the 2019 does not mention that. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/motorcycles/motorcycles I guess my questi...

Re: Any Comments About Actual Top Speed by 2019 PCX Owners?
A couple of times I've seen 71mph on my 2019 PCX125. Once was definitely downhill and the other was probably wind assisted. I had just about completed my running in period and didn't want to push it too hard although I got the feeling that this was the bike maxing out. What I think is actually more...

Re: Nice Review of the New PCX
If anyone missed Gator Greg's video posting of the new 2019 PCX U.S. model on a showroom floor here it is again. :geek: O2xh6MdA2LQ LOL, my vid is a piece of crap compared to the one you posted above from the Phillipines - what a great review that guy did! Loved his braking test and the shots of th...

Re: It's Raining......
Who cares about the Weather?!?! 8) LOOK AT THAT BIKE! 8) Bring It Honda! Ok Ok Ok....it's chilly, snow patches still on ground. I didn't need to shovel. Woot! RAIN CAME :D Agreed - I would LOVE to get my hands on a next gen Forza 300! That said, I had oodles of fun yesterday cruising around on my E...

Re: Not going out in the rain anymore on my PCX.
Agreed. This is why I don't ride in the rain - LOL. At least Marquez has the championship trophy to ease his pain after his nasty spill at Valencia yesterday. pp1o39owIY8 Seriously though, I always check the forecast in the morning and if there's a decent chance of rain I always choose the cage. Far...

Very nice! Looks great in red - all we get in USA is "bright bronze metallic". Is yours a 125 or 150?

Re: Parking on a slope issue
Maybe you could slice off a couple inches of your sidestand so you'd have a normal lean when parked on that slope - but then you'd have to remember to only use your centerstand everywhere else - LOL

Re: PCX 150 v. Elite 110
Nice bikes Oldie and Old Grinner! (BTW - is every body here old? LOL). I hear you on the new Forza 300, I would be very tempted to trade my VFR for one if they make it to the states. I’m to the point where I feel I’ve had my fun and think maybe I should quit while I’m ahead since I’ve yet to have an...

Re: PCX 150 v. Elite 110
So I took my VFR out for an afternoon blast today for only the second time since I got my Elite 110 and it felt like I was riding an angry white rhino! I had gotten so used to being able to just pin the throttle back 100% on the scooter that I had to quickly relearn to control my right wrist - LOL. ...

Re: PCX 150 v. Elite 110
Just got back from a trip to the tag office with a stopover at Huey Magoo’s for lunch. “Nero” the scooter is now fully road legal - LOL. The only tag office in my county open on a Saturday is 14 miles from my house so I was able to take Nero for his first fairly long ride. This thing is a hoot to r...

Re: PCX Tie Down Points
Thinking that I'll make use of the pillion footpegs. That should work fine. I watched the vid below before moving my Elite recently - it’s pretty good and talks about attaching the rear around the 7 minute mark including using rear pegs to do so. Here’s some pics of my Elite strapped down using the...

Re: PCX 150 v. Elite 110
One other thing I just thought of and felt was important to mention is that the PCX (and my Zuma as well) have those cut out switches to turn off the engine if it is running when you put the side stand down. Alternately the engine won't start until you either put the scooter on the center stand or ...

Re: PCX 150 v. Elite 110
2) The Elite has a rear brake lock activated by a tiny little lever located near the rear brake lever - it's so small I never noticed it. I'm not sure what purpose it serves since the Elite only has a centerstand. I remember my PCX had a rear brake lock button located under the dash on the left sid...

Well good for you. At least you dont have to deal with the wreckage that the panhandle does now. If you can enjoy the night, why not? Oh yeah - the damage to the Panama City area was just awful. Nice thing about Orlando is we're far enough inland that by the time hurricanes get to us they've been w...

Re: It's Raining......
No rain today in Orlando - beautiful weather so I ran some errands in my vert. I would have used my scooter but I haven't gotten a tag for it yet - hopefully I'll have it tagged by next weekend
