Re: Removal of underseat storage compartment
Thanks, homie. Copy/paste.....I may have done that before with email. (Hey, gimme a break, man, I'm old) So, in this thread, for example, I would copy the bold green title "Removal of underseat...." at the top, right? (What do you expect from a guy who grew up in Chicago. La Grange. How 'b...

Re: Removal of underseat storage compartment
Minister, check my post on the thread "Coolant for PCX125" from Monday 8-17 (I'm not savvy enough to be able to send you that thread!) It explains what happened on mine and what my fix was. Make that simple visual check from below and if it looks good you're probably OK. Nonetheless, a lit...

Re: Coolant for PCX 125
Mine is a 2013, Maddie. It's a 150 and I'm not sure the attachment of the tank is the same as the 125 (the subject of this thread). But I think everyone with the 150 should quickly check that little button on the bottom to make sure it is seated properly all the way back. (Also, in my message, I mea...

Re: Removal of underseat storage compartment
Operation went smoothly. No hassles. Great tutorial. Found the nipple for the hose that goes to the radiator was broken. New tank, including delivery, $12 at local Honda dealer. Also found the reason, and posted a caution on another thread dealing with coolant and reserve tanks.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

Re: Coolant for PCX 125
.....And just a heads-up for everyone on the subject of coolant reservoirs... Mine leaked out overnight on the garage floor and also I found that the molded-in nipple (for the hose enroute to the radiator) had broken 90% through. I discovered that the tank was not secured very well and had probably ...

Re: Removal of underseat storage compartment
Yikes, you guys are awesome.
I had the 2 screws out in the back wing but didn't gin up the nerve to "pry up gently". I'd also like to check the "suspension tutorial" to take the short cut, and report back on my results.
Thanks! I'll be donating to the cause.

Removal of underseat storage compartment
My coolant reservoir is leaking and I'm trying to get the storage compartment out so I can access it. I have removed the seat and 4 machine bolts from the bottom/front of the compartment. Also removed 2 screws up front on the sides. It doesn't seem any looser than it was before I started. Anybody kn...
