Re: Rear View Mirror Visibility

I'm not sure of the specific bike they came from honestly, I just know it was an 06 vstar. They have a longish stem on them, so probably the custom. I like them and they provide excellent rear visibility. They also look fantastic on the PCX. And yes, those are the same mirrors you see in my vids. Th...

Motovlog - Scoot Commute 14 - Indian Summer

A summer day in February. Who knew? Anyway, it gave me a good opportunity to ride to work. I hope you enjoy my latest Motovlog. It's been a while since my last video, but the weather outside's been frightful.

Re: Rear View Mirror Visibility

I would rate the mirrors at about a 5 out of ten. They are short stalk mirrors so you see nothing but your shoulders and a tiny bit of what's behind you. I replaced mine with a pair off a 2006 Yamaha V-Star 650. The only reason I give them a 5 is that they stay steady and don't shake a whole lot at ...

MOTOVLOG - Darting about

I know, it's about a car, but I am the Scootin' Fool, and I do mention scooters. :)

That is a pretty spiffy idea. Great for those who are mobility challenged.

Re: An orange tennis shoe

yes, it is turning out to be a pretty good car at that, and lots of fun to drive. The color is growing on me too.

Purple and pink are colors that don't belong on cars. :)

An orange tennis shoe

So, the Jag was nickeling and diming me to death. It was time and she has been retired. I wrote a blog post about the experience of finding a new car.

Motovlog - riding in the cold

Riding a motorbike in the winter may seem crazy, until you realize, people ride snowmobiles, so what's the big deal? A cold commute, and some thoughts about tires, winter riding safety, and being kind to others.

New Motovlog- birthday ride and terrifying crows

I know it's been a while, but I have finally posted a new #motovlog. This episode was filmed on my birthday. I discuss the events of last year's birthday, talk about the Keurig coffeemaker, touch on the importance of proper tire inflation, and scare the bejeebers out of some crows. Job done. AnAkj_B...

Re: 2016 pcx 150 break mpg

Oh ok, what is the max speed do you guys recommend me going. Also is starting half throttle consider bad when break in and adding mor egas to increase speed. There is an ongoing civil war in the motorcycling community over how best to break in a new bike. On the one side, you have those who say rid...

Re: 2016 pcx 150 break mpg

Judging your mpg at only 20 miles in is not going to be accurate.

Just the same, the first tank on a scooter usually gives lower than normal mpg.

Don't panic just yet.

Re: Motovlog - Lancaster PA to Wilmington DE on my Honda PCX

When I awoke, the rain of the day before was still wet on the ground, but the sun was shining, the skies were clear and it was over 40 degrees. Hi Honkerman, Awesome video !!! Thanks for sharing. I just do not know how you rode in such brutally low temperatures. I never get on a scooter or motorcyc...

Re: Motovlog - Lancaster PA to Wilmington DE on my Honda PCX

Motovlog - Lancaster PA to Wilmington DE on my Honda PCX.

An unanticipated opportunity arose for me to go to a training in Delaware yesterday. When I awoke, the rain of the day before was still wet on the ground, but the sun was shining, the skies were clear and it was over 40 degrees. Not riding the scoot would have been a tragedy, so I mounted up, turned...

Re: All work and no play - motovlog

Just wondering what happened in your Bike accident. Someone must have cut you off because you look to be a very wary and very good motorcyclist in your videos.Glad you recovered and the mental scars have faded.. I got target fixation on a guardrail, braked to hard, front locked on gravel and down I...

Re: All work and no play - motovlog

Ok, to answer all the questions: I got hired by Bridgestone to work at a local Tires Plus shop. I'm a tire salesman, but I help in the shop too a bit, and it's a blast. Starting on my fourth week and I haven't gotten bored yet. As for the collarbone, I broke it last year when I crashed my PCX. There...

Re: how to add tunes to my pcx

heh...

Bluetooth helmet. Best option, or a sena headset or such like that turns your helmet into a bluetooth helmet, or earbuds, or wired speakers stuck up inside. Run the tunes off your cellphone.

Adding a stereo to a scooter like the PCX just isn't really practical.

All work and no play - motovlog

Heya folks. It's been a few weeks because my new job at the tire shop has me exhausted when I get home, but I have a new motovlog up. It's a scoot commute, both going and returning, since it's only about ten minutes there and ten back again. :)
