Re: Loving my Ram X-mount
Almost went with one but they hit the Galaxy S6 right on the buttons so you need another case on the phone which I don't prefer. I can see the wave from the camera sensor vibration in the video but it isn't too bad. Why is it not in HD? I use a Mobius and still found a chest mount the best using th...

Loving my Ram X-mount
Picked it up the other day. Works great. Have had the scoot on the highway using the GPS at 67mph, not a bit of slippage. Held onto my phone perfectly. Even on bumpy roads, it doesn't lose its grip. You're welcome to read the full review, complete with a scenic ride through Lancaster County PA (Amis...

We want the bar pirates to keep their hands on the handgrips anyway. Safer for the rest of us...or maybe not.sonex825 wrote:I am sure the snooty riders will no longer bother me with waving since I am a lowly scooter now, screw em!

Re: picking up new PCX tomorrow
Well guys, thanks for the "Ride it Home" I did and was all smiles. I took some backroads, made a wrong turn at one spot, had to get on Rt 81 interstate for about 7 miles, I let her rip wide open, 64mph, not bad, but i would not do it regularly wind from other vehicles does effect me on th...

Re: Service Costs
We have the technology for self adjusting mechanics. Heck they don't even want to see my car for oil change until 10k. Valves, brakes, fuel injection all monitored and maintained by the vehicle itself but the PRICE of the auto o_O If you can do the motorcycle service yourself do it. But even if you...

Re: Finally, Fonda Da Honda is beautiful once again.
Good job well done. Observance of the seven p rule makes all the difference ;) I am POURING a PINT ..... Now Fonda is all new and beautiful looking I'll have to take some nicer photos rather than near my bins or on my neighbours weedy paths. Standing back and having a beer is one of the best things...

Re: Onyx Purple Haze
I bought a kit of LED Glow in purple haze and then realized what you see in honkerman's picture ;) That you have limited effect other than wheel wells with our cowlings and fairings. I will put them aside for any future open structured motorcycle. But they are very interesting. I think the engine g...

Re: Onyx Purple Haze
Do the local authorities give you any grief for that lighting? I've been looking at these kits for a while on flea-bay. Definite visibility improvement. So long as no blue or red lights are facing forward, no, not here in PA. It's actually written into the PA vehicle code. Some other states don't l...

Re: Starting to make sense
My previous scoot was about 50 lbs lighter and more narrow. Comparatively, the PCX is gigantic.

Re: PCX insurance coverage
I pay 11.34 a month for full coverage through state farm. It's so inexpensive, it just made sense to go all out.

Starting to make sense
The PCX seemed big and a bit ungainly around corners when I first got it. It was planted and was great in a straight line, but now that I've gotten used to the weight, it really makes sense. It's actually easier to throw into corners than my old scoot, though I have yet to drag the side stand or muf...

Re: Finally, Fonda Da Honda is beautiful once again.
Stands for "Leaner" or more like "Loser" in some people's eyes. Personally I couldn't give a monkey's about the L Plate. I'm 30, ride a scooter and play dolls with my daughter...I have zero street cred. :p Hah, me either. I thought that's what it was, but we have nothing like th...

Re: picking up new PCX tomorrow
Hi paul Sounds like you are having some good times on your PCX, i am sure i will too, so tomorrow i pick it up, still deciding if i should drive it home or trailer it, about 60 miles, i have a trailer but if i trailer it, would there be any problems tying it down as i did with other bikes one strap...

Re: picking up new PCX tomorrow
The Scarabeo and the Honda have roughly the same size engine. Depending on the year of your friend's scooter, it will be carbuerated, not EFI, You'll find that the PCX cooks. It beats the socks off my old Kymco People 150, though it seems a bit less flashy in the corners, just a touch. Of course, th...

Is the giant L on the windscreen serving some sort of purpose? Is this an "other side of the pond" thing?

Re: picking up new PCX tomorrow
Under prolonged exposure to oil, the modern dipstick tends to shrink. The old materials used in dipsticks cannot be used for environmental reasons nowadays and the new organic green materials just don't stay the same size for long enough. We all have this problem with our dipsticks as we age... Sho...

Re: picking up new PCX tomorrow
You need to be very careful when choosing a replacement dipstick, you'll know when its time to get one when the original one can't reach the oil anymore. Take a note of the length of the original and get one at least 15mm longer, this should reach down to the oil ok. Some will say that a 10mm longe...
