Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
That will be part of the eval, for sure. Not hard to measure once the plug is out. Looking at the pix I received, it appears quite a bit shorter than the plug. I'll make an accurate measurement of the drain hole's depth once I have the valve in-hand.

I don't know what data they're after. Must be bike-only data? I'd like to see exploding dummies mounted on the bikes!

Re: Versatility.
When I have the weather, nothing beats two-wheels. Well, maybe a small open aircraft.... It is impressive how little machine is necessary to get around with. Granted these are VERY modern machines. Such a "happy" little can-do bike.

Re: where is the dummy?
Are there government standards to meet? Maybe the insurance industry needs the data, too? Hard to say. It's not a "hit while parked" test, though. Notice the bikes are propped (you can see the prop fall away). The data must be good either way. Much easier to use the bullet-car then to have...

Re: Coming to a stop
After a while you learn to "feather" the throttle if you need more of a coast when rolling above 9mph (crack the throttle a bit to lessen the engine-braking, close it to get more). It'll get reflexive. You'll lose the "herky-jerky" of the CVT under way.

Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
Looks pretty good, Glen. We'll compare notes after I do my "try me" with the Femco product. I hear you, Homie, $50 is decent money to me(though occasionally, I've spent more on less). I'm not a fan, though, of oily messes and the convenience appeals to me, as well as not having to pay atte...

Re: Death Wobble
I've wobble-tested my '13 and it's quite solid. If you experience wobble (I mean REAL wobble) get the thing looked at (as posted above) because you got real trouble. I had one wobble experience on a bike and that was quite enough.

Re: tire changing woe with my PCX
Yeah, a machine is best for that job. You could get a proper cold patch on it while it's off, too. much surer and safer repair than plugging.

Re: Tire Pressure?
Honda specs 29 front, 33 rear from their development work. That's where I run them with no trouble.
As to my bicycle, I run the pressure up to get more speed (less rolling resistance), just as running car tire pressure higher results in better fuel economy or efficiency.

Re: tires
When you say "oversized", what size are you running and how has it helped/hurt the ride and handling? (I was looking at that "Tribal-bike" thread and he says he runs the rear size (100/90) at both ends. I asked about how that was working. Nothing back, so far).homie wrote:oversized for me

Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
Interesting find, Relic, thank you! I e-mailed them as to my 2013 150. I just took some pix of the area in question around the plug. There isn't much clearance to the casting at the front of the plug. The plug, itself, extends down 10mm, so it's no further that the casting. The exhaust pipe is quite...

Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
I hear ya Double U. My riding is pretty well-defined. All surface streets, flat, suburban and low-mileage overall. My commute is 14 miles round-trip. 900 miles would be a very big season, here for me. I'm not at all concerned I'll bottom the bike. My last bike was lower and is still going after 40 y...

There's seller on line in the UK who has shipping at $41 to me(clearing $90US). I just now saw there is a factory store US location, thanks! Still not cheap, but within the realm of possibilty pending your review.

Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
Adding an adaptor to extend it down past the casting makes it hang below the exhaust pipe(too low). I'm reticent to alter that casting as it's structural(and a non-reversable mod). One of our contributors is going to try the Stahlbus product. Those appear to be a good solution to a clean fit. My pro...

You You send me an address I'll walk over and buy you a set. homie There maybe a red mesh version of the seat cover? I'll keep my eyes open. I don't have paypay otherwise i would offer to buy you a seat and ship it. There's a seller on eBay who sells them worldwide(none in red, though). I tried one...

Nice-looking machine! I see you run the same size tires front and rear(both 100/90's). How has that helped or hurt the ride and handling?

Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
I've heard of those valves and I have to admit I was tempted to buy one. But inner self said beware for some reason. Leaking was one doubt, the second was perhaps at smacking a Speedbump. Ours seem to be growing in height here, so big. I dislike them, but they serve a purpose, I suppose. There are ...

No interference, it's quick-coupling valve that replaces the drain plug on the other side of the case.

Re: Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
The idea is to replace the oil drain plug with a ball-valve. The important thing is whether it hangs too low (below the exhaust pipe). I've ben discussing it with Glen who has two types to try. One is the Fumoto and the other comes from Stahlbus. He's going to try them out and let us know which is h...

Anyone using a Fumoto oil drain valve on 2013 PCX150?
On my next oil change I'm considering installing one. I didn't find much on a search here, so I'm asking if anyone is currently using one on a '13 PCX150, which model#, and does it hang lower than the exhaust pipe? All the sites I looked at only allow me to select up to 2009 Honda bikes of any type....
