Re: What has been your longest continual ride on the PCX?
Briefly had a Yamaha X-Max 125cc a few years ago. Well made machine but a dog in the wind. PCX is a big improvement on that.

Re: UK Outside Cover Question for New Owner...
I've got an Oxford cover that is designed to have a topbox fitted, does the job pretty well, my bike sits outside too. A cover is not just for weather protection, opportunist theives are less likely to choose a bike they can't see. The warning about wind is worth heeding. My PCX blew over a couple o...

Welcome aboard. I know what you mean about the weather, my PCX badly needs a clean down and AFC50 spray, hopefully better days coming soon.

Re: How bad is residual salt on a dry road?
I don't ride in snow, over ice or in high winds as I've no wish to be a danger to myself or others. Anything else and I'm good to go.

Re: PCX cold start problems - NOT
The most reliable scoot I had previous to the PCX was a Honda SES Dylan. During one particularly lousy Scottish winter it sat outside for about 2 months in the snow, it was so cold the cover froze to the bike. Despite all that it fired up first time when the thaw came (and that wasn't with fuel inje...

Idle stop technology useage
Hi all, and Happy New Year, I've had my PCX for 6 months now and love the bike. So far it's coped admirably with all a Scottish winter can throw at it and always starts on the button. I mainly use the bike for my short commute to and from work, once the weather improves I'll be going on longer runs,...

Re: Potential New Owner of a PCX125 (UK - Manchester)
Had my PCX for six months and I love it. Bullet proof reliable, starts on the button and runs like a dream whatever the Scottish weather throws at it. Probably not the fastest 125cc you can buy, but this is more than made up for by the superb handling. I bought a low mileage 2014 model from my local...

Wow, £74k. Really makes you grateful for the NHS over here, it may not be perfect but I wouldn't want a bill like that adding to my worries.

Re: My build/mods thread: '15 PCX
Finally got around to buying the decal set. Came from Bikerz Bits in about 10 days for only £16 including P&P to the UK, happy with that, would use them again. Pleased with how easy they were to fit. http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii608/drzoom11/Honda%20PCX%20125/4AA9544F-FCFA-42AC-8577-AED...

Re: Wind damage...
Just an update for all kind enough to reply to my post. The cost to repair the MG was £300, a hefty sum but apparently removing the damaged body panel is labour intensive. Spoke to both the owner and the garage boss who explained the process. Not much I could do so I've settled up with the garage so...

Re: Wind damage...
Ok, an update. Left the note and the owner called me back this evening, sounds a friendly guy, took a "these things happen" approach. Thanked me for leaving the note so I'm glad I did it. He uses a garage near where we live and they do panel beating/replacement. He is going to get a quote....

Re: Wind damage...
Thanks everyone for your input. I have to say I'm a believer in karma, what goes around comes around, so I've let my insurance know and stuck a letter on his windscreen. I've photographed the damage so we'll see what happens now. Ironically today my partners 76 year old mother was conned by "wo...

Re: Another boring introduction email.
I'm with you when it comes to cars. I passed my test over 25 years ago but always hated driving and have hardly ever done it since. Discovered scooters about 10 years ago as a good alternative, I've always felt safer on two wheel as opposed to four. I'm 6'2" and agree that is about the limit, I...

Wind damage...
Evening all, Blowing a gale here all day, came back home this evening to find the PCX had blown over and struck the car next to it. It's cover must have dragged it over. Picked the bike up and put it back on it's stand minus the cover, it seems fine, however there is a noticeable dent in the car pan...

Re: A Slide
I've had my PCX with stock tyres for 3 months now. I'd read some reports about the tyres being a bit dodgy so approached with caution but I've had no problems. The roads in Edinburgh are pretty lousy and we have a lot of cobbles too but as long as you ride carefully all seems good. Hope I'm not temp...

Re: The Edinburgh Commute.
Yes I had forgot to adjust the clock, so it should read 6.30am :) The SJCAM 4000 is excellent, used it for all the films I've got on Youtube. Very reliable, easy to use and a fraction of the cost of a Go-Pro. I've other films taken around Edinburgh on my Youtube page. Most were filmed from my old 50...

Washing up liquid applied, fingers crossed :-)
Looks like it's going to be pouring tomorrow anyway so misting is unlikely to be my only problem, the joys of winter riding.

Misting mirrors
This is an odd one but I find my PCX mirrors mist up completly while riding on colder mornings. I've had a few scooters in the past and I can't remember it happening like this before. Anyone else notice this ??
