Re: Front Brake - slight pulsing grinding noise when applying front brake

You can do a visual inspection on the front pads very easily without having to take anything apart. Have a knowledgeable friend take a 5 second look.

Re: Buying decisions - I miss my Forza

Low mile Forza probably have outstanding recalls. 7 year old scooters. Are the re-call parts still available.

Theoretically they need new tires but I would use them up anyway.

Some shops will not work on older rare scooters.

My 2014 has over 100,000 miles on it and more today.

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

I made it to Merritt and back. The Coq Highway is only 4000 feet where I went. There was lots of storm damage from November. Lots of really big trees in the rivers. There are bridges that go nowhere. The Coquihalla River at Othello looks like someone detonated a large bomb and so was the Coldwater R...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

Big breakfast, shower and then I will tackle the Coquihalla Highway again. I am trying to get through the billion dollars of storm damage to Merritt. 6C degrees, I will wait till 10 am and hopefully the temp will go up so that I can escape. I may need to turn my iPhone off. I will put my Goretex sno...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

I stood and watched Jamie Davis work the other day near my house. He was rigging up and towing a big rig that had destroyed its air brakes, (driver error???) It was a dangerous job with other trucks within inches. Jamie really needs to learn Punjabi. I wonder if he got paid for that job? A long, lon...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

Sunny in Hope, I thought I would have lunch in Merritt. The construction delays made me sit for a long time. The Coquihalla Summit had too much snow. The road was good but my fingers were cold. I needed to get lower down so I turned around and went home. Did some 7/11 food and shopping before I fina...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

I got a chance to test out the zipper today. I went to Arnold to check out the flood damage. I did not see much damage. I'll be back. I left Hope in very questionable weather. The sat photo looked like it might clear up. It didn't. I got to a Tim Hortons by Deroche and had a coffee. I did not go to ...

Re: Brake Pads (aftermkt)

I ride in the rain so often that I think if I had a dirt bike braking system it would work better. I wish the rear pads were in a place that this old guy could actually see. I use copper stuff but I think all of the dirt counteracts it. I am not a pretty boy who only rides in 75 degree sunshine to S...

Re: Fuel opener/Seat Opener Switch

It appears the centering spring is in the switch. I will just have to jiggle the switch to get everything in alignment. No big deal.

It is a mechanical switch pulling cables. Not electrical.

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

I am right/left dyslexic so the zipper doesn't matter anyway. I have played golf with right or left handed clubs. I am bad either way. I played hockey briefly as a left handed player. I write right handed but find cursive writing almost impossible. I cannot do my own signature. I went briefly to Sun...

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

It was cold and raining when I got out of bed this morning so I went back to sleep. It is now several hours later and I am watching my internet weather station, 5 degrees but my wind meter has broken. It has stopped raining and the temperature is slowly rising. I will do the dishes and check again. ...

Re: 2016 flat batttery, no nil power & key will not turn

I have been having a problem with my Canadian 2014 Forza 300. I could not turn or remove the key.

I found out that my seat/left glovebox switch had broken its centering spring. If I manually centered the switch everything was OK.

The Canadian scooter does not have HISS.

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

My Olympia jacket zipper has been breaking for a while. Sometimes difficult when I have to use the bathroom in a hurry, old body. It is basically worn out after 180,576 km and the zipper got replaced today. A local oriental seamstress put a new zipper in, she did nice work. The only problem is that ...

Fuel opener/Seat Opener Switch

Does anyone know if the Fuel Opener/Seat Opener Switch has internal springs to keep it centred? Mine is floppy after 100,000 miles. I have to manually centre it so that I can remove the key. Is there an external spring that has gone missing? Do I need a new switch? It is a nuisance but still rideable.

Re: 100,000 mile scooters

Taking the 4wd to get my tiny mower tomorrow. 15 mpg is going to hurt after getting 70 mpg (Imperial) on my Forza. The latest war is also inflating the price of gas. I should steal a goat instead. I have seen pictures of goats riding scooters. Heavy rain is forecast. The last heavy rain caused a lot...

Re: Brake Pads (aftermkt)

The grease goes inside the caliper not on the ends of the pads. There is a rubber boot on one of the pins.
