Re: new 160 today
so today I mounted driving lights on the front forks, using the reflective mounting spot, so easy to do with an add a fuse and run the wire from the battery through the fuel area on the side (out of the tray for safety), and run it straight under the fairing to the front forks. I didn’t have to take...

ez fill for honda rear gear oil
here is the Amazon link for a hose barb that screws into the oil fill port in the back end of many scooters. It makes adding the oil so much easier than trying to get it through the hole, simply buy any 3/8 inch tubing and whatever syringe you like and stop making a mess. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B...

Re: new 160 today
blacked out my windshield today…. On a bike this small this windshield doesn’t really block any wind so I thought I’d just make it look more like a bullet fairing… Worked out great, used plastidip on the inside, so the
dip is protected and you still have the gloss of the windshield

Re: Gear Oil - applies to all Scooter
I used to change my rear oil with every oil change, which for me is about every nine months because I don’t do any mileage, and after about the third time of seeing oil come out of the rear that looked exactly like when I put it in, I slowed my role on changing the rear. The rear isn’t subject to an...

new 160 today
glad to be back on this forum, I’ve been away for a few years as I moved from a PCX in 2018 to a Yamaha X max so I’ve been over at the ADV site… So I picked up a 160 today and I am very impressed. Everybody asks the question, Why would you go from the xmax back down to a 160, the simple answer is I’...

remember one of the easiest ways to see what the heck is going on underneath the engine is to use a bathroom mirror. The kind your significant other uses to brush her hair -the handheld kind… It makes working on the underside so much easier.

what gives you the idea that a bike needs to be “topped off? In the seven years that I’ve owned Honda and Yamaha, scooters, I’ve yet to top off any oil.

Re: Valve clearance on a 2021.
I realize that when you don’t check the valves, it’s a nagging pain, especially if you like to take care of your scooter, but after four scooters, two Yamaha‘s and two Hondas, I’ll never check the valves again. That is until I see a symptom that I’ve got misadjusted valves. Meaning hard starting or ...

Re: Won't start
Sounds like battery failure, take the battery to an auto parts store and have it load tested. You can charge a battery and get a reading that’s satisfactory, but as soon as you put a load on it, it collapses. It could be as simple as buying a new battery.

This reminds me of the synthetic versus nonsynthetic oil wars… I agree with the above, just use a fresh octane that is recommended in the manual and you’ll be fine, anything else is a waste of money.

Re: PCX suddenly won't start
The lithium batteries that are being sold today can use a regular charger. However, you can’t use a charger that has a de- sulfation mode, but other than that, a standard trickle charger will work.

Try to be more complete when you ask a question like this. What country are you in? What are you exactly trying to buy? OEM parts? Accessories? Then we can help you.
assuming you are looking for OEM parts for the scooter, partzilla.com in the United States works well

First, don’t overthink this. PCX is an extremely reliable machine and used all over the world with various grades of gas & oil, sometimes they never get checked and they worked fine. It’s a can you sophisticated Scooter built for the third world. The only thing you really need to watch is the oi...

It goes without saying that the selections that Honda makes on rollers is a best case middle of the road scenario. And in general, it’s about the best choice. All you are doing when you put in new rollers or sliders is moving the power band up or down a few hundred RPM that affects either the low en...

Re: new member with a new 2022 PCX
There was some idiot on here a year ago that was claiming that his new PCX would do 85 miles an hour, I don’t know what he was smoking… Bottom line is the PCX , no matter what year, no matter how many valves, is a 65 mph bike. You can do mods to it , with roller /sliders /variators and get it into t...

My experience is anytime you get things goofy electronically on your bike, it’s the battery. Take it out get it battery tested and replace it if necessary, scooter batteries are cheap it’s not worth screwing around with.

Yeah, don’t put up with this crap, they did shotty work, take it back. Obviously, they didn’t take it out for a test ride before they gave it back to you. Raise hell.
YOU should not be the one that’s responsible to do a test ride.
