Re: Radiator Air intake sizing for 150

Thanks guys I probably didn't want to vary from Honda's recommendation re coolant mix, although the Redline sounds an interesting slant if needed. I was more thinking of a small temporary ploy carbonate cowling over the inlet to increase air flow as seasons other than summer should be quite temperat...

Radiator Air intake sizing for 150

Hi I have a 2012 mod PCX 150 which has been going fine. It appears to me that as the year models change subtle variation have occurred to the body work. Of particular note is the later models appear to have a larger opening along the side panel to capture air before being directed into the radiator....

Re: Workshop Servicve Manuals

Thanks for that Iceman,
It gives me a lead what to look out for P/N etc, the 2012 model seems to be an awkward fit as most publications refer to 2013 -2015 which I hear are different in some areas.
Thanks for the advice

Workshop Servicve Manuals

Hi
I own a 2012 PCX150 (ESP)
I am looking at what is available for workshop manuals for my 2012 model.

I see there a PCX150, 2013 -2015 versions around or 125, 2011 but nothing for the early ESP models.

Does anyone know which one or any other that would be most suitable

Re: PCX stopped working and now wont start

Do you have power ? ie head lights

If so do the lights dim or go out when you try to start?

Re: First Time Scooter rider using way too much oil

Yes for my problem I am thinking it is not specifically the oil as when I purchased the scooter with 240 km on it would be pretty sure it had Honda's initial oil fill, .......that started disappearing steadily.
I will consider going back to a mineral oil next change.

Thanks

Re: First Time Scooter rider using way too much oil

Ok thanks for advise will do, just seems excessive that accumulated top ups between 4000km service intervals will equal the sump refill capacity of 800ml.

I will certainly also look down "waspmike" recommendations for possible gummed up rings

Thanks for inputs

Re: First Time Scooter rider using way too much oil

Thanks sendler, I always check oil on flat ground, centre stand and dip stick put in not screwed in. Last Night I looked in the air filter box and found only very short track of oil out of breather area to about half way along the length of air box (minimal). The air intake tube leading to the engin...

Re: First Time Scooter rider using way too much oil

Yes I never over fill it, just keeps dropping of the bottom of the stick. Pcxdemon, I like your comment, and is interesting how would I confirm this was happening......is there anywhere I can monitor or check for an oil path back into the engine? (ie would it be possible divert this line overboard s...

Re: First Time Scooter rider using way too much oil

Hi Honkerman Yes I changed the oil right on 1000km as it was already right down near the bottom of the stick. In lieu of top up I decided to change the oil for a different type.....doesn't seem to make any difference on the consumption rate. I was just wondering if there were any known issues with t...

First Time Scooter rider using way too much oil

I have been watching this site for a number of months now with interest and am impressed with the level participation and cooperation with likeminded PCX riders as they enjoy Honda’s wonderful concept in the PCX. Around March this year I purchased a second hand 2012 PCX 150 with only 240 Km on the c...
