Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Hey, found the solution! There was an "steel rope" that reinforce the belt that got stuck deep inside the clutch pulley. I've removed all the ropes when the belt broke, but some of it got really inside... Now the belt sits fine and the vario mounted again. Many thanks all the folks that he...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

I've found another washer in the end of the engine shaft. Even without this washer I can't screw the nut until the end. I really don't know what is wrong. I think that I give up on a this problem that seems to be so dumb and simple... I'll take it to the dealer.

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

I'm completely lost... If I close the cover, the engine won't start... The vario (engine side) if too forward, as Alibaly said, and hitting the cover. Without the belt the vario sits fine. With the belt the vario stays around of 5mm of the boss. I will take everything apart for the 10th time to see ...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Dam... Now I don't remember if this spacer is original or not. It's a little thick washer that mounts between the nut and the variator...
Glad to know that the clutch doesn't have to be taken off. Seems impossible to put the belt in that little clearance of pulley and the aluminium case...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

And do you have any clue of why I'm breaking so many belts and cutting the rollers? Any special way to mount the vario? What I usually do: 1 take the vario off... 2 take the clutch off 3 insert the new belt in the clutch pulley, without opening the pulleys... 4 mount the clutch with the belt. 5 moun...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

This are the rollers that came out from the bike. I don't think that this wear is normal in a 4k km roller... One of the rollers has a huge cut in center. After the belt replacement yesterday, I've noticed that ...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Mel, its almost impossible to find aftermarket parts in south america... That's why I will take the kit out. I can't find a reinforced belt, neither the NCY vario and aftermaket rollers... This Yumi kit I brought from a trip to Thai...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Hey, got another broken belt... Just 4k km after the last belt replacement. I'll take the Yuminashi kit out because its impossible to find a reinforced belt here... It will be sad to go back to original PCX after getting used to the CVT kit....

Re: Wider Tires

Homie, thanks for the advice! My PCX is the 2013 one, I dont know if the spacers will be needed. Just in case I will carry a tube for making them.

Did you also had to change the bolts for longer ones?

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Polished the damaged rollers housing, removed the chips on the variator face, put everything together and now bike is running fine again! It seems that the idle rpm is higher than normal, is it possible? Maybe I've made any mistake putting the part together and it get this impression by some unbalan...

Re: Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Rollers and belt completely destroyed today... Seems that rollers were mounted somewhat wrong... I don't believe that they could be this shape by just 8k km! Now I'm trying to imagine a way to remove the clutch for taking of all the "steel cables" of the belt without any special tool... Wh...

Bike running at "2nd gear"?

Hello guys, I own a PCX150 with 28k km, and by 20k km I've installed the Yuminashi 2015 kit with stock belt. First my bike would go until 130km/h, but now 8k km later, it would not pass 110km/h. That's the first sign that something is not right, I guess it would be a worn belt, just 8kkm... But the ...

Today I couldn't pass 110kmh...
It's been +/- 7.000km since the upgrade. Better change the belt again? It's impossible to find Gates belts here, I'm using the original Honda one

Re: How to install - Yuminashi 2015 variator kit

Guys, after 6 months my top speed dropped a lot... Can't pass 120kmh without engine rev cutoff. Before I was able to achieve 130kmh and 140kmh on central stand.
Im not whining about 10kmh... The point is to run at 100~110kmh my engine now revs lot more...
Usually its worn belt or worn rollers?

Re: Unsafe To Use Yuminashi Variator With Dr. Pulley Sliders

I'm using the stock belt on my 2013 pcx 150 and the Yuminashi 2015 kit. Top speed on road is 130kmh and 140 on Central stand. Im planning to change the belt at 1/2 mileage of the original setup... I've already rode 7k km

Re: Yuminashi TORQUE CONTROL VARIATOR V.2016

I have the Sprint Master 2015 and I think it has the same recommendation of checking rollers every 1k miles. I rode 4k km without checking... Not a smart decision, but so far so good...
