The "RIDE!"
Today was a great day for a ride. I still really haven't broken in my PCX. It's almost two months old and still has less than 400 km on it. So the gf and I kitted out and drove 40 km to Bangkok (I now live out in the sticks) to do a bit of shopping. That's the boring part. The good part is coming. J...

Re: Just stupid
That was in Thailand. Easily preventable. All he needed was an amulet on the dash and a spell from the แม่มด (Thailand members should get this one LOL).

Re: A PCX during Songkran
Thailand does have a helmet law, but very few people obey it. Many just buy a 100-200 baht ($3-6) helmet and rest it on their forehead. I'm the odd man out with a DOT certified full-face helmet LOLdkazzed wrote:I'm surprised Vietnam has a helmet law and Thailand doesn't.
Looks fun though.

A PCX during Songkran
Songkran is Thailand's biggest water fight. Ok, it didn't start out that way, but that's what it is now. I stole this picture of a man and three kids riding a PCX through a water battle zone. If you wish to see more, go to http://bangkokpost.com/photo/photo/529211 PCX.jpg Don't you just love all the...

Re: Front Disc Lock - WHERE???
Only thing I know that the PCX and some other scoots need is a 6mm pin, but if you put the pin throught the larger cut-outs rather than the round 6mm hole, I believe larger pin and larger (stronger) locks should fit. Best see if others say why that is not possible. It is a good idea, but what is th...

Front Disc Lock - WHERE???
I am in the land of bikes, here in Beaumont, CA. I have looked everywhere for a disc lock for my PCX. So far, no luck. No one has anything for the PCX. Do any members who live in Southern California know of any shops that carry disc locks for a PCX? Additionally, do any Bangkok members know where I ...

It is, and you're right.Valiant wrote:I hope it's a really nice neighborhood, because even the smallest bolt cutters could clip that chain(and the padlock, but that would be tougher).

Re: Short-term storage of my PCX
I believe 12-13mm chains can be cut with most of the larger domestic bolt cutters, whereas 15mm chains are too big accept for industrial ones. Something like that :) Oh man, you're talking link diameters of half inch or more. I'd need a forklift to move it LOL Seriously, The purpose of the chain is...

Re: Short-term storage of my PCX
Just a thought, The newer Asian model PCX's had a alarm system on it, that was armed when parked. If yours has this. Then the month long storage may be long enough for the alarm system to drain the battery. If not, then nothing to do storage wise, except nail it down, cover it, and hope no one jack...

Re: Short-term storage of my PCX
Have you got a secure place to keep it? What part of the city are you in? It's got a disc lock AND it is chained to a support pillar of my house. And I live in a residential area of Phra Khanong. Nice area too. I thought of driving the bike into my living room, but I got some extremely heavy patio ...
