Re: Rain riding after dark
I have stock tires on my PCX and frequently ride in the rain. I take precautions. I find no fault in the tires. They work. And this is in crazy Bangkok traffic.

Re: NEW 2015 PCX 150--Mileage Report
I get between 95-100 mpg (41-43 km/l) here in Bangkok and surrounding areas. And that is in traffic. I also have a 2015 PCX but with 1800 miles (3000 km) on it.

^I have no problem with mine either. I find the combi brakes are great in Bangkok traffic and excellent for curves. Oh, and my rear brake seems fine. Does the job.

Re: Tire contact with the road
What is the blue object next to the band aid? It holds my road tax/registration paper. Must be visible. Same for cars too. Absolutely no appreciation for design and symmetry when it comes to vehicles. You mean to say not only does a new rider have to display a billboard on his wheels front and back...

Tire contact with the road
The recommended tire pressure seemed a bit low to me, due to the amount of weight my PCX carries (me at 110 kg, my son at 35 kg, and 10 kg of gear). The contact patch ran all the way to the side grooves. I upped the pressure a bit and I think I have a good contact patch. Please, opinions and advice ...

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?
Apologies, I have no idea what that means. What I do know is that my PCX idles smoother and is quicker in mid-range pick-up than before the service. It feels peppier.iceman wrote:Surely they don't alter the Mapping do they?

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?
Just had my 1000 km service done at my local Honda dealer. While everything was signed in the book, the receipt shows charges for motor oil and gear oil (both changed). No mention of a valve adjustment. I do know the service dude hooked a computer thingie to it and made a few adjustments. I also had...

Re: So what size is my engine?
Never mind, I answered my own question. There are two different models. There's the export model with the 152.9 cc engline, and then there's the local Thai model. And there are differences. Here are the specs on mine:

So what size is my engine?
When I read the Honda Powersports website http://powersports.honda.com/2015/pcx/specifications.aspx and peruse the technical specs of the 2015 PCX 150, it states that it has a 152.9 cc engine. However, my registration papers state that I have a 149.3 cc engine. The bore and stroke are also different...

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150
For those of you who live in Thailand, have you noticed a big difference between 91 gasohol and E-20? A friend who has an older PCX (125) swears by E-20 and recommended I try a tank. Any thoughts or real world experiences?

Re: Seven dollars and twenty cents
That's pretty much standard. When I had a Honda Wave 100, a new spark plug, new air filter, and an oil change ran me 600 baht. That's about $18 US. And yes, I watched them do all the work at the local shop. $7.20 is about 250 Thai baht - the going price for an oil change.

Re: The "RIDE!"
The 150 is limited. Perhaps I just had a freak occurrence. Maybe there was a slight downhill grade. Maybe there was a bit of tail wind. I have no idea. All I do know is that for a brief while, it really kicked ass. And then got its ass kicked.

Mine is a 150.Mel46 wrote:Is yours a 125cc or a 150cc? If both of the bikes are 150cc then I don't think you can bump them above 170cc yet, though Yuminashi is working on the 196cc kit now. In either case, it would be hard to tell what he did with hi without speaking to him.
