Re: Like these helmets?
The CL-16s look nice but I can't find it in 3XL. 2XL should fit my 25" diameter head but 3XL would give my head more breathing room. So I'm kinda eyeing the HJC CL-17 Redline Helmet in Grey and Hi-Vis Green. I love the look and colour combo. http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/media/catalog/product...

Re: Mirror thread accessorie
You can probably find an appropriately sized bolt. Is there a reason you don't have your left mirror? Opposite side but I use my curb side mirror as a rear view mirror to observe traffic directly behind me as I'm rarely in the inside lane. Again, a subjective looks and convenience vs. safety issue. ...

Re: New Japanese fwy capable vs. used Taiwanese fwy comforta
You asked about the valve adjustment on the 400. I had the valves adjusted when I first bought mine. The mechanic said that he loved working on a Burgman 400. Our PCX went in at the same time. We rode home on the Burgman while the PCX was still in the shop. It took the mechanic a whole 30 minutes t...

Helps to wear some long johns, but over 148 miles I'd put a wind resistant layer on top for sure.SECoda wrote:I can't imagine 23 F in jeans. Brrrrr

I've been commuting in as cold as 22F weather and I am also calling you two hardcore! The new PCX looks great though. Great combination just like SEcoda's.
What are her thoughts on the tall windshield? How much did that cost? It's a $500 option here.

A laser mounted just below the seat, projecting a bring your own bike lane image onto the road. I think it would be nice to shoot a light out that helps drivers maintain a minimum 2 second space behind you. I'd prefer using a powerful LED projector personally because of the potential damaging effect...

Re: Just ran across something very interesting....
Could be part show part extra visibility. I'd personally would like something that projected a bunch of rear lines at least 3 metres behind me, maybe with the words STAY BACK, maybe have it flap upwards with increased wind velocity up to 20 to 40 metres behind me to show following drivers how far th...

Cutting springs is truly a Honda thing.
Good job though. I like the stance although it could use a teeny bit moar low. Let us know how it rides.

Ok, so last night at 5:30pm I took the freeway pretending I was a PCX. Traffic is light-moderate and with no slowdowns due to volume. Used the power of Paint to help illustrate what I'm talking about. Got on the highway with a speed limit of 100. Accelerated at a leisurely pace. Had about 1.6km to m...

Re: White 2015 PCX150 on a Sydney summer day
Cruisin' Sydney's Northern Beaches on a 2015 PCX150. That is SO pretty! We can only get red and some kind of hideous bronze here in Canada. I guess I'll have to settle for red. Bronze? Got pix? Fish I prefer the bronze personally. Red is nice too but the bronze will be easier to build a ridi...

Re: Just started scooting.
The word is that the Dr Pulley sliders don't work well with coated variators like the NCY. There are also potential issues with using the sliders with a variator that already puts the belt out to extreme limits(like the Yuminashi variator), which causes the belt to rub against the case. Ah, so eith...

Also, our provincial motor vehicle act states that no one is permitted to pass anyone from the right if there is not an actual lane there marked by a broken white line, unless to pass a person making a left turn when there is adequate room and it is safe to do so. I was overtaken on a shoulder once,...

Re: Just started scooting.
You just have to always be aware of an exit route. Which is why I'd prefer to stay on a lane with a shoulder if possible. Barreling down an urban street on my commute with almost no exit route, I always have one thumb ready to honk the horn and the throttle hand ready to grab the brake. Ultimately, ...
