Re: My build/mods thread: '15 PCX

Awesome Thread! I enjoyed every segment of it... You should also consider ordering a new air filter from DNA ( part number is P-H1SC13-01 ). I just installed mine this week and noticed a slight improvement in acceleration right away... I still have my stock exhaust though. I would bet that with your...

Re: Have any of you Dunkin Donut Fans figured this one out y

Here is another view... The spring in the tank cover and the position of the hook really holds it in place quite well. And yes, I like that super long straw idea!

Any Large Ice Tea or Ice Coffee fits nicely into your open gas tank cover and the hook will hold it securely in place... 8)

Re: Variator Tool

I made a tool out of a piece of scrap plywood I had in the basement. It kind of looked like a slingshot but with a circle in the middle. The circle needs to be big enough to allow a socket through it. I then measured the distance between the two holes in the vario ( 80CM I think...) and drilled two ...

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015

I just did put those on my 2015 PCX last weekend. The first thing you need to know is that my local Honda motorcycle dealership refused do the tire swap for me. They have a rule about mounting new tires on existing rims that are more than 10 mm larger than existing. When I brought the existing wheel...

Torque Settings for Transmission Cover

Does anyone know the torque setting on those little 8MM screws that hold the transmission cover on? I change my vario last night over to a NYC ( with 13 gram rollers ) and I am always afraid that I might over tighten and strip that aluminum tread. I wish there was a place to find all of the bolt tor...

Re: Biggest Tire.

Thanks dashhreddar... Did you perform any transmission upgrades after your tire swap? I still have about 300 miles to go before my official "break-in" period is over but I'm looking at installing the NYC Variator Assembly with 13 gram Rollers like Homie did... Just want to get a few more o...

Re: Biggest Tire.

Happy Spring Everyone!!! Well, after reading all of the posts by Homie and various other folks, I decided to take the plunge and install the large Michelin Tires. Took my first ride on them last night. The bike definitely has a different feel to it... I made sure I moved the rear plastic fender up a...

Re: Question about the throttle...

Yeah, there just doesn't seem to be a fixed stop like my carburetor bikes had. Just wondering if your scooters have that same amount of play if you force it a little bit in the clockwise direction...

Question about the throttle...

Hi Everyone. I have a question regarding the throttle handle. All of my previous bikes had a throttle that would twist back into place when released and stop. I mean it would come to a stop and not travel anymore even if you tried to force it with your right hand. I have only had my PCX for two days...

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?

I am 51 years old... This is my 3rd Scooter. First two were 50cc's ( a 1985 Honda Spree and a 2014 Piaggio Typhoon)... I've owned five different motorcycles prior that ( 250cc's to 1300cc's ).

Re: Today was the Day...

Thank you all... I came very close to buying a white one. My wife suggested it looked too much like a "Storm Trooper" from the Star Wars films. I thought that was funny... Guess I'll be riding atop Darth Vader for a while... :

Today was the Day...

Well, today I did it! A Black 2015 PCX... $3,850.00 out the door ( cash talks ). Had to drive down to Cape Cod to get it but it was worth the trip! Listened to the Patriots game on the drive back. Tomorrow morning I will take it off the truck. It's supposed to be a balmy 29 degrees tomorrow afternoo...

Yes, Very Cold in New England... Can't wait until March. That's when I start riding ( with gloves, leather vest, thermal's, etc...). :) Loving this forum. I hope we can all help get each other through the next couple of months by talking about riding... LOL !!!

Re: Getting ready to buy soon.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the step-through look either... I think the dashboard of the PCX is nicer as well. There also seems to be a lot of wasted space in between the top of the rear tire and the fender. I know it has a horizontal shock but... The seat height is also about 1" taller. Still leani...

Re: Getting ready to buy soon.

While we're talking about other bikes, what is everyone's opinion of the 2015 Yamaha SMAX? It has a slightly larger engine, 4 valves vs. the 2 valves on the PCX, and 1.5 more horsepower. On the downside, it has 13" wheels vs. the PCX's 14", it's 42 pounds heavier, and has a crazy looking w...

Getting ready to buy soon.

Hello everyone. I am getting ready to purchase a new 2015 PCX very soon. I bought a brand new Piaggio Typhoon 50 this past summer and had a blast with it! I put over 2,300 miles on it but in October of 2014, the state of Massachusetts decided to make all 50cc scooters "registerable"... In ...
