Re: Rear Shocks
Have read many a complaint about the rear suspension of a scooter. It is what it is.....Look at what all is carried by that rear suspension. Also have read any number of reviews by scooter riders who have invested a lot of money into after-market shocks....and every now and then I read a refreshing...

Re: Rear Shocks
My biggest complaint with the Forza were the rear shocks. Probably the worst stock suspension on any Honda I've owned. After much research, I ended up with Malossi shocks and it completely transforms the scooter. I also changed the rubber to Dunlop SX01. At the time of my purchase, they didn't make...

Re: Forza Squeaking
I have a squeaking that is driving me insane. It happens when I am leaning into a turn or when I bounce up and down on the bike. I have put silicone grease all over the shocks but still squeaking, Anyone else come across this? Have someone sit on it and bounce, while you get down on all 4's and loo...

Re: See what happens when you ride sensibly?!
Back in July-August, with temperatures in 80's as highs, upper 60's as lows, my mpg readout got up to 78.3mpg. As temperatures started dropping in September (highs upper 70's, lows low 60's) the mpg started dropping to upper 77's. Then I accidently hit the reset button when in the wrong trip odomete...

Re: Large Honda Windshield
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I've been riding 365 for about a decade now and have never worn ear plugs, this is the first time I've ever had the wind noise be this loud. I think it's just that I am the exact right height that the wind is deflected perfectly into my face as I ride. Vents closed...

Re: Large Honda Windshield
Put about 700km on the new Forza with the stock windshield. Got the large Honda one today ... makes the ride much louder at speed. I love that it completely removes the wind pressure from my chest and most of my head. I don't like how much louder the wind noise is now though. Guess with the OEM lar...

Re: My Bike is "Rocking" me...
just sharing my thoughts here...One more thing, the bike needs to get in a 'static' state before the 'rocking' starts, meaning: No bumps, No breaking, No throttling, just an even speed above 35kmh at an even surface. Feels like it need a little time to start oscillate... I need to nail down the sou...

Re: My Bike is "Rocking" me...
I dunno, but this is how my back wheel is 'moving' when running on the stand....do You think it can cause this 'rocking' behaviour? https://youtu.be/7Uj7tQJ3E8c /  Looks "ok" in the video, but maybe under load there could be a soft or hard area in the tire you can't see in the video...

Two positions??? My 2014 USA Forza only has one position (often falling to closed!)WhiteNoise wrote:Glen why did you do that, was it failing in the first lift position? Please say it didn't. I like having the two.

Re: Battery compartment access
I plan on trying to remove the battery compartment cover in order to gain access to the battery connectons. The dealer installed a Battery Tender harness on the battery connections and I want to replace that harness with my Gerbing's harness so that I can use my Gerbing's heated gloves or more like...

Re: Malossi Shocks
I had read someplace that the "softest" position should not be used but I don't remember why. I might try it sometime to see what happens. So for now, I will rely on using my two Butt Buffer pads at the same time. . Mine is on the softest setting and works fine...but it still seems to har...

Re: Malossi Shocks
SteveP, another question for you. I was able to get the 14mm socket and breaker bar on the bolt and I started to unloosen it. I was surprised that it was not on very tight. Anyway, I got the bolt about half way unfastened when I freaked out. My question: once the bolt is removed, will the shock fre...

Re: Malossi Shocks
SteveP, thanks again for the info. What you described makes it sound doable for me to try. I had not yet tried fitting the 14mm socket with the breaker bar attached but if they don't fit, then I know to try your method which sounds logical. In checking my misc motorcycle/scooter cabinet, I found so...

Re: Malossi Shocks
Thanks for the tip on how to break the bolt free. Did you use the Locktite stuff on it when you tightened the bolt back on? My 14mm box wrench is pretty short and I do not have a pipe to use for extra leverage. I might have access to a tool called a "breaker bar" that might work if I have...

Re: Malossi Shocks
I'm tempted to try SteveP's suggestion and see if adjusting the shocks to the "soft" setting will be enough for me without having to buy the pricey aftermarket shocks. But I haven't gotten the courage up to try removing the right side bolt to make the adjustment. You see, I have injuries ...

Re: Malossi Shocks
Too bad they're considered "racing shocks" because they'd probably void my warranty. Also, I would need to have the dealer install them for me and they would charge me a small fortune to remove the plastic bodywork and then install the shocks. I finally go the two piece rear shock tool fr...

Headlite bulb failure, removal and replacement
I've had my Forza about 1 1/2 years and 8000 miles. I've always ridden it with the lights on high beam because I thought only one headlight was used on low beam, like it was on the Reflex I had previously. Wrong! Both headlight are use in both low and high beam. Found that out a couple days ago when...

Re: Malossi Shocks
When you say the ride is improved with the Malossi shocks do you mean it's smoother and more comfortable? I ride solo and weigh about 140 pounds and I find the ride feels way to stiff at the rear, especially on sharp bumps. it's my only meaningful complaint with the Forza.

Re: 73 MPG !
Mine is currently showing high 77, low 78 mpg (US gallons). Mixed driving...in town, highway, seldom over 60mph. Warm temperatures may be helping...or Honda has programed in an "improvement factor" in the trip computer to make us feel happy! :-)

Re: MPG
Trip Computer showed 78.3 mpg today....that's an average over about the last 2500 miles. This is highest it's ever shown. Current warm temps may be helping. That's in town and highway riding, seldom go over 60 mph. I have tall Honda windshield with Laminar Lip and 150/70-13 rear tire.
