Re: Garmin 390LM

I remember how excited i was when the price of a Street Pilot dropped from $700 to $300. I bought one then. Still use it. It's huge. Just buy one of them for $5 on Craigslist and duct tape it to your scooter. Turn the volume up loud and ignore the screen. This is perhaps the least-helpful thing i'v...

Garmin 390LM

I am a self confessed gadget freak and have been using a GPS in my cars ever since Garmin bought out their first StreetPilots which must have been at least 20 years ago. As a newbie to two wheels (motorized), one of the first things I had to get was a motorcycle unit and picked up the Garmin 390 LM....

Re: Givi Monokey vs Monolock

V47 installed and now in use - first stop was beer store! Now I can carry more than 6 cans at a time lol. Just have to work out where LED lights best wired to and that will be a winter project.

LED stop lights on Givi V47 - wiring to Forza

Has anyone done the wiring from the case (after installing LED kit) into the Forza? Is there a wiring diagram available?

Re: Just received a recall notice.

Good luck folks. No reason to expect anything except successful completion of the recall but as disclosed in many posts - this is not a quick fix recall so don't expect it to be 1 hour or so!

Same goes for a 270 crank motor.
And feet forward pegs.
There's three good reasons not to buy one and I've not even got going yet.

Re: Givi Monokey vs Monolock

That's a large nice one. Be sure to post some shots. I am milling over some case for the Forza since I plan on going a lot farther with it over the PCX. That supposedly holds two full sized helmets. o_O Did you get the rear rest? No I didn't get the rear rest as its very unlikely I will have any pa...

Re: Givi Monokey vs Monolock

Thanks Mel46, MikeP and gn2 for comments. Went out today and bought Givi V47 with lights kit and frame as BF sale still on. The store I bought from is GPBIKES.COM with the most incredible levels of service and products if anyone happens to be near Toronto.

Honda NM4

If you have seen one of these anywhere what do you think? I had or have no interest in buying one but was curious and saw one in the store yesterday. Its butt ugly in my mind and could not less practical if they tried. Open the side cases and there is so little room for almost anything. The riding p...

Givi Monokey vs Monolock

Lots of info on selections people have made when using search for Givi but I have an in use question. Is it intended or in fact practical to just unlock these and simply carry into your hotel/motel each night when travelling or is it a pain? Maybe its better to make sure you pick a model with an ins...

Re: What color is the Canadian screen?

@Fish - What type of boots do you wear for winter riding? I wear hightop leather work boots. Cold feet has never been an issue with me. It's the hands that stop me, nothing else gets cold enough to bother me enough to stop riding. In the single digits I'm good for about 45 minutes before my hands g...

Re: NSS 300 Fuel Pump Recall/Replacement: Success?

fish...I agree...from reading the works manual it appears a fairly simple operation...I am no mechanic but even I would feel confident I could tackle a pump replacement if I had to...and never 4 hours....and no tupperware removal.. My Forza is booked into my local Honda main dealer next week for a ...

Re: NSS 300 Fuel Pump Recall/Replacement: Success?

Yes this morning. Honda pay the dealer 1 hour of time to complete. It takes way more than that and in my case close to 4 hours. Almost the entire body has to be stripped away before getting to the tank and pump and of course all put together again. I may be wrong but it seemed to be more responsive ...

Lots of good feedback to my original post - a good friend of mine politely to me to get over any concerns and read a book Old Man On A Bike by Simon Gandolfi which I have just started. Really good so far and worth checking out folks.

51 degrees Fahrenheit today ....and 61 mile ride! For me in Toronto it was 50 degrees and 60.8 miles (after conversion) and likely 2nd to last ride - cant get much closer than that! As my wife might tell me, great minds think alike and fools seldom differ! I have to take it in with 34 degree temper...

Re: Just received a recall notice.

Your VIN is very very close to mine which is perhaps not surprising as we are both in Canada. I got my letter on Monday. Its booked in for next Tuesday when the forecast is back above zero/freezing. Then its most likely straight into hibernation unlike you BC folks who will still get out at times in...
