Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

I only have 635 miles on my new Forza but it gets up to 83 so far on level road but I really didn't push it and I am sure the HP/torque hasn't peaked yet. I fully expect it to hit at least the 86-87 mph that I read others get on level ground. After riding my buddies Harley Sportster quite a bit I t...

Yes much improved lately although I would rather have an Audi TTRS.

Would still swap riding in the rain with our -12c and a snow storm earlier today.

Spyder all the way! OK just trying to be patriotic to a Canadian company. Many bike stores here sell them as snowmobiles also made by BRP are what keeps them viable in winter.

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

I have a question - is it legal (or not!) to have a small gas container in some way strapped to your bike/scoot to cover you with these large gaps on a long trip? I suspect not but these long gaps between fill ups scare the crap out of me!

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

Thanks. I do not plan on riding on the interstate. I thought I posted that but part of that sentence got deleted!? The only word left from the sentence was the word "interstate" and a parentheses - go figure? Anyway I ride 99% around town almost every day, all year round. Didn't ride toda...

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

most of us who ride the Interstates would agree that what ever the speed limit sign says, you (as a scooter rider) need to be able to exceed that speed by at least 5mph (every one else will be rolling 5-10mph faster anyway). If every one on the road is passing you and you are riding the smallest thi...

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

Not sure if you plan to ride the interstate, but I find the Forza to be much better than my previous bike (an air-cooled Harley) at stop-and-go stuff. However, it is not the best choice when speeds get past 60 mph. It's perfect for me on the short stretch of interstate that I ride when commuting in...

Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest

Thanks for pics SECoda - probably a spring job for me now as I live in a condo with not so well lit parking. I am going to see if there are any decals at a big motorcycle show in town over the coming weekend. It describes itself as 425,000 Sq ft of babes, bikes and cool stuff! Gotta have something t...

Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest

Look forward to your post wiring report. The Honda decal on the right side of your scoot caught my eye. I thought the wings were forward facing but maybe not on the version where wings beside letters as opposed to larger wings above name. This eBay example is what I thought directing of wings was as...

Looks good SECoda and drill press would certainly make it easier. Not unhappy with my silver version of box but carbon is cool. For anyone considering this setup it's probably a 20 minute job although I took my time being careful and about 30 minutes.

Re: Ordered Givi V47, SR1123, and E134S Back Rest

I think if you go Monolock you save relatively little weight and the mounting pegs are far less stable. Unless you are very much budget restricted go Monokey.

Re: Don't cry for me.................

I felt the standard Dunlops getting a little squirely on me at about -10C (+14F) temperatures. Not really bad but what is basically summer compound rubber just a little hard at these temps. Helped convince me that even if roads clear in our winter that it was sleepy time time for me Forza!

We are the same - but with a minus sign in front of these figures and about 8 inches of snow today! It has been put to sleep now and under cover until March probably or maybe even April.

Don't cry for me.................

Its a sad day when I went out this morning and realized its over for the year. While the majority of the roads are dry, there were quite a few bits that were wet from precip yesterday and were very much frozen solid. It is -10 with wind chill and Canada Einstein - lol. With a fair bit of snow in for...

Re: This stuff works great

Cleaning of the windscreen seems next to impossible on the inside. Given that there is hardly any room really impossible to get your hand and cloth down, what do people do to get it clean, if anything?
