Re: Motorcycle Helmets
I'm the same with mine. I've only scratched the side of the visor luckily so I can't see it. Few scratches on the helmet itself too! Just need to remember I'm wearing it!

Re: Gloves - are they all hideous to use?
I do a bit of both. I instinctively cover the brakes with a finger (got told off a lot for this on the cbt) but then switch to four fingers for propproper braking. 1 finger's enough to start the job but you'll need more for proper control.

Re: Speeding Letter
Gutted! I've recently done a speed awareness course too so I'm trying to be careful but it's hard sticking to 30 all the time.

I'm on the Wirral. I have a PCX but as my cbt was cancelled today due to bad weather I'm still not allowed to ride it!

Re: Security
Just realised the Channel 4 thing will be a very UK specific reference - it's a TV channel that's been a bit obsessed with making outrageous "documentaries" about gypsies etc.

Re: Security
I think (hope) I'm just being unduly pessimistic about the scrap men (I blame channel 4!). I am fully insured, but the excess would cost me over £1k.

Re: Security
My PCX arrived today so I've got the Xena disc lock on it at the moment - almost deafened myself with it twice! There's a knack to getting the key in and not a lot of time! I haven't got my ground anchor in yet, so I'm going to leave my bike in my brothers garage til it's sorted. Weirdly, within an ...

Re: Security
I'm well impressed with my Almax chain and Abloy lock - need to fit my ground anchor tomorrow to attach it to something. Not sure if I'll be carrying it round with me though as it's pretty heavy, so when I'm away from home I don't have anything to stop it being carried off other than a Xena disc loc...

Hill parking...
Ok, my PCX is due to be delivered this week (cbt still to be booked in), so as a complete novice this might be a stupid question and non-issue, but, how do you park the pcx on a hill?! I've googled and googled but can only find stuff about leaving your motorbike in gear etc. which will be no use to ...

There's a 2015 PCX on it's way to me hopefully, so I'd better get a magnifying glass if they expect us to notice things like that when they deliver it!

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
What is the best way to keep your hands warm in the winter? Ride with your hands in your pockets. That was one of the multiple choice answers for this question when I did my theory test. Also, 'put your hands on the exhaust for a few seconds'. Think I went for 'wear gloves' though if that helps?
