Funny you mentioned that cause I remember travelling through the deep south early 70's in my VW van with out of country plates,
seemed the local sheriffs would pull up behind me and escort me to the next county where they would hand me off to another escort.
Never did get pulled over.

Always blows me away when I see how man can carve a ribbon through the rocks.
