So far haven't worn out my welcome here.... Over the past 9 years I think I've put each of my 4 scooters in this fellow's farm lane. Year around, winter's too. One winter morning he came along in his truck, stopped and asked what I was doing. I showed him the photos on the camera. He looked - said, ...
Have a 1st gen Forza 300? Can't see past your shoulders? and hate the look of the stupid billet mirror extenders from China? Here's a pic of a Honda Forza and a CB500X. Buy a pair of the CB500X mirrors - they look dead stock and you can see behind you. That longer stem length makes all the differenc...

Congrats on your accomplishment!
Hope your situation improves.

Fairing mounted mirrors are cool....unless they're too short to see clearly behind you.
Then what's your fix for that?
Sit the bike - and buy something else if they're not working for you.

Only the 2nd time I can remember aborting a morning scooter ride due to fog. Here at the reservoir it was fine....but when heading though town out to my coffee village it was maybe 3 car lengths* of visibility. Not good in city traffic if you don't have a Buick wrapped around you. Turned around in t...
Probably not an attractive option for 99% of riders - But I never go "out cruising about town" on my scooter. My aim is to get through town traffic and out into the less populated (& less trafficked) areas of my county ASAP....where I can relax somewhat . I prefer to do this at a time ...
