Re: Mid life crisis sorted with the new 2015 pcx 125
Congratulations on the new scooter. In California rules are: Helmets are always required Learner permit riders can't ride with a passenger, at night or on the freeways, don't need to ride with another motorcycle though. Learners permit expires in a year. I'd hate riding with the L plate. Not sure ho...

Heard a guy in a Mustang yesterday say (in a derogatory fashion as he was pulling away from a stop) "get a motorcycle".Steph wrote:@Josh- I think we do look cool riding our scooters! Screw anyone who tells you differently!

My Shoei Neotec in large does not fit. Maybe You You could specify the size and model of his helmet that fits.

I like that hi-vis HJC helmet. Does anybody know if it fits under the PCX seat in size large?

Ah, I heard a full-face fits in the 2015 but I guess that's only some of the smaller helmets. My Large Shoei modular would most likely not fit anyway. Well, I guess I'll get one of the Honda brackets and top boxes. Problem solved.

Re: 2015 PCX150 US
Ha, I only have 70 miles on my 2013 so far and that's included a few trips to the store taking the long way home. Haven't taken any of the big county road rides that I want to yet. Honestly though, I'm already jealous. If I find that the 2015 tub and seat fit on a 2013 then I think I will buy those....

Re: Today's Quick Pic
Looked like a great ride, such nice scenery. The San Juan islands are fantastic as is all of the northwest. My wife and I love visiting up there, or any trip up the coast even. They don't seem to rent mopeds or 50cc scooters around here any longer. Back in the 70's there was a lot of that but Califo...

Re: 2015 pcx 150 or Forza?
I would be inclined to get the PCX if it was me. The smaller, lightweight fun factor and ease of use for a new rider would help. It gets much better gas mileage than the Forza. For the two days that you have a 15 mile commute including highways you could drive your car and your overall mileage may t...

That was fantastic. Such a big bike and you could hear it scraping the ground all over the place, very impressive.Ben Lee wrote:Perfect Motorcycle Driving - Perfect handling and timing - NOT crazy

Re: Getting my new bike today, cannot wait!!
Yup. 125's in the UK not 150's, there's no market for them due to licence laws. Oh, how weird. I had no idea. Well, 125 or 150, either way it will be very nice and fun. I'm planning some big daylong rides through our local mountains, can't wait to do some real riding on it. Max speed is 55 on all t...

Congratulations, I bet you are very excited. It's going to be very nice.
You mention 125cc in two of your posts but you know the new one is 150cc, right?

Re: Trip to the new brewery
Will do, thanks. And it's good to have family in different places, makes a good excuse to go visit them on vacation. I live in OB but not the crazy part, more out by Sunset Cliffs where it's quieter. Here's a picture to show our beautiful power lines. http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g377/Duggle2...

Re: Belgium wins ...
Congratulations to Belgium! I think it's the first idea... no soccer fans. It's not that I'm not happy for you. I haven't caught the world cup fever and haven't been watching it at all. I've just never been much of a ball sports fan of any variety. The exception has been American football which I st...

I wanted a red one too, but they only had black. To me, red is the typical Honda color and it would be better for being seen. I like your jackets also, I've been looking around on the internet at warm weather jackets that are black and hi-vis combined, sort of like this. http://www.rockymountainatvm...

Rain? I barely remember it. We're in another drought here in Cali.

Another New PCX Owner
Hi all, I've posted a few times already but went out today and took some pictures so this is my formal introduction. I'm 55, retired, live in San Diego and finally talked my wife into being ok with a two-wheeled motorized vehicle (she worries too much). A scooter was definitely less sinister (in her...

Re: Engine Breaking
I use downshifting and engine braking all the time in my car, and the first time I rode the PCX I was surprised at how much it slows if you let off the throttle. I was expecting it to be more like an automatic transmission in a car. My only worry would be if you use engine braking too much on a moto...

Re: New Member, New PCX150 owner
I really want to kick myself in the butt to get in the habit of looking over my shoulder when changing lanes. Used to a car and only using the mirrors. You should get in the habit of looking over your shoulders in your car too, at least a sideways glance to check the blind spot, and if you do it re...
