Re: Top Case Recommendation & underseat space?
Thanks,
I was at the dealer to sign the papers for my 2015 PCX. Based on their recommendations, I should wait until Honda officially releases the accessories for it. They're also not too sure if the 2013 mounting rack would fit on the 2015 model.

Re: Top Case Recommendation & underseat space?
But doesn't that mean that you can simply use different cases for the same rack? Not necessarily sure it would mean the old model rack would fit on the new model if the design changes mean the rack won't sit flush. I did try Google, but didn't read anything about a top box for it, nor see any pictur...

Re: Top Case Recommendation & underseat space?
Good point with just popping open the faceshield. I forgot about that simple idea and it's what I used to do if I didn't have room under the seat. Locking the wheels together and to the frame seemed to be a good enough deterrent with a lightweight 50cc they could just pick up and walk off with, sho...

Re: Top Case Recommendation & underseat space?
I see no point in making another thread, so I'll just ask in this one:
Does anyone know if the OEM topcase for the 2013 PCX would fit on the 2015 model? If not, is there an aftermarket case that would fit it?

Re: Top Case Recommendation & underseat space?
I moved from Hawaii two years ago, but while there I had a little 50cc scooter. Securing those things is of utmost importance around there as they get ripped off like it's going out of style. I used to use one of those Kryptonite armored chains with a Kryptonite U-Lock. Part of the reason was becau...

Seems a little backasswards. So you essentially need to take a class in order to ride your scooter, but the class requires a motorcycle that would not be provided to you? Might be cheaper to take the class in a neighboring state unless you've got motorcycle rentals nearby. He's saying that they onl...

Re: Terrible experience at the MVA today
Don't suppose you could call ahead to confirm, talk to someone in charge who would be there, then come on the same day if it's available and the supervisor is working? Might be a bit better to know for sure and have someone's name you can pull up before spending another few hours there.

Givi USA are just a distributor. Givi Italy will eventually make screens to suit, then Givi USA will be able to distribute them. Anyone fancy a bar of chocolate...? http://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/_assets/images/products/full/angle/PCX12515YM-STD-YR284.png Would it melt in the sun? Or are they l...

Re: Moving away from the PCX
I was surprised how small these bikes actually are. In pics I imagined them being huge. Are they really that small? They're certainly quite a bit bigger than your standard scooter(thinking Vespa or Piaggio here). When I first saw one at the dealer, I thought I was looking at the Forza until I saw t...

Re: 2015 PCX150 US
Hmm, anyone know if the 2013 OEM top box would fit this one? I noted some design changes, but I'm not sure if the tail assembly is significantly different enough that the old mounting plate won't go on it.

Re: 2015 USA pcx 150 made in Vietnam
Wouldn't that also depend on whether or not the heatsink itself has someplace to dissipate the heat to? I'll certainly say that I'm not an engineer, so I'm not sure what the heatsink would attach to, and whether or not there's any airflow there. Another caveat emptor is that my limited experience is...

Re: Well I saw the new Burgman 200 today
What was wrong with your PCX? If it's the power, you could always look into modifying it for more output
.
I'd also consider using paragraphs if you're going to post a wall of text with every post >_<

Damn right it won't put me off
.
If it burns out, I'll only have an excuse to go over to candlepowerforums and see if I can't have a custom(and more powerful
) array made with a pure copper heatsink

Re: Is this a good price for a new 2013 pcx?
I have thought about it. Currently I work 6 days a week so I don't have the time. I was planning to get the license asap then a beginner course that doesn't give a certificate which is cheaper and learn. I only working 6 days a week for like 2-3 more weeks but I don't want to wait that long to lega...

I think they also offer aftermarket speedometers if you don't trust the manufacturer equipment. Or if you prefer digital over analog displays.WhiteNoise wrote:Oh? okay, thanks. I'm stepping back out of this thread. Seems strange. I wouldn't give this a thought. Just ride, watch speed, enjoy. Simples

Re: confused
I think what he's saying is that he was revving the engine while the rear brake was engaged so the wheel itself wasn't moving, but the speedometer was. A pretty good question if you got ticketed before even though your speedometer said you were within the speed limit.

Re: 2015 USA pcx 150 made in Vietnam
Firearms? wtf has that got to do with lights on a scooter? My apologies, I was laboring under the delusion that recoil from a high caliber firearm induces more "shock" than hitting a pothole on the road. They do fail, I've seen it with mine own eyes, and they are expensive. I don't doubt ...

Re: 2015 USA pcx 150 made in Vietnam
LED lights don't always last longer in vehicles because the vibrations and shocks can break them. And they can be extremely expensive to replace. http://www.oveready.com/a-engines-heads/mini-turbohead-surefire-m2/xml2/dd-head-bk/prod_165.html I think if a small shop can figure out how to make flash...
