Re: Ban Button

Me too, I'd like to think all that effort to be such a tosser didn't go to waste ^_^ I'm ignoring you :D Or perhaps I should have phrased it "did not go unappreciated"? I'm getting in touch with my inner Brit...as an Asian ;) . Pretty damn sad though, most forums have an "ignore"...

Re: Aloha from LA (again)

Aloha....CA???? You must be confused haha welcome! hahaha, maybe a little confused. I'm from Hawaii, and live in LA. I believe that home is in the heart, and if I feel the palm trees and cool breeze in my mind, I'll never have to miss it. Thanks! Visit much? I could use a riding buddy next time I g...

Re: Heads up display for helmets

I think I'd prefer traditional GPS instead. Granted, it would be nice insurance against getting rear-ended.

Re: 2015 PCX 150 US Replacement and Maintenance?

My insurance(Allstate, but Hawaii coverage sucks compared to the mainland) doesn't cover towing AFAIK, and my bro recommended I don't report the accident because they'd jack up my rates, so I'd rather not get them involved. My dealer says they'd charge about $100 to tow it to the dealership, and ano...

Re: Maintaining a charge on the battery?

Okay, I think I managed to remove the battery without much drama(at least, the siren didn't scream at me). Now hopefully my dealer doesn't give me BS for returning the useless piece of crap they sold to me which I can't use.

Re: Maintaining a charge on the battery?

I don't have a charger, and I seriously doubt I'd ever need the jump starter(no cold winters! ^_^). It's not that I can't disconnect the battery, just that I'm a bit ham-handed with the technical stuff, but it seems like the only option anyways, so I'll see if I can do it without having the siren sc...

Re: Maintaining a charge on the battery?

Wouldn't it be better to just return the jump-starter for an actual charger then? I also don't believe a current will run through the jumper cables unless you actually try to jump-start it.

Maintaining a charge on the battery?

Obvious solution: Use a charger. Unfortunately, I don't have an outlet(apartment complex), and my broken leg hasn't healed enough to ride it around for a bit. My dealer is evidently full of idiots as they sold me a portable jump-starter instead of a charger , so I'm stuck with a $168 PoS. I can plac...

Re: 2015 PCX 150 US Replacement and Maintenance?

I'll try, I can't exactly put weight on my leg yet, so it would be a PITA to unlock my cover for pics at the moment. I did already order the parts, but I'm just mostly concerned about what I need to check and tighten up before I attempt to drive it down to the dealer. I assume checking the oils and ...

Personal decision IMO. If you can ride like that for a few years and not have a problem, good for you. But it only takes one bad day to mess up your life good, so not worth the risk IMO.

18. There’s no such thing as Green means Go, or a Stop sign that means other traffic will stop. Always assume that some idiot of going to run a red light, or stop sign and proceed accordingly. I generally take a red light with full traffic to mean that some ***head will have to run over several car...

2015 PCX 150 US Replacement and Maintenance?

Hi all, Had a low speed crash on Aug 4th, dinged up my PCX a bit. Here's the damage(best I can tell): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/mediequick/IMG_0005_zps5b5f1fe9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/mediequick/IMG_0004_zpse04c8aa5.jpg From what my brother tells me, the rear brake le...

Oh yeah, ya done good.... that's nasty! Feeling even worse for you now Valiant. But I have to say, you sound like you're doing pretty good under the circumstances, so I congratulate you for that. Looking at your x-Ray, is that a second break on the upper right? Geez. Yep, upper part of the fibula I...

Re: Broke my left leg, gear ideas?

It's funny, the parts guy at my dealership told me it might have turned out better if I were going a bit faster, as I would have been thrown clear of the bike. Not sure how true that might be for a low side, but I'd guess if the gear was relatively low friction and lets me slide a bit, the scoot mig...

Useless trolls that spam every thread with posts on tangent points aside, here's an x-ray: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/mediequick/bf123953-d658-474a-8c23-861413c7ed27_zpse8c12019.jpg So I guess it must've been a side impact. Re: Broke my left leg, gear ideas?

Okay, damage assessment: Forgot to take pictures of my PCX, but the glovebox is kind of squished open and the panel around the glovebox is cracked about an inch and is out of place. The left mirror is scuffed along the back, but I didn't see much noticeable damage as far as the rear area. My dealer ...
