Re: 2015 USA pcx 150 made in Vietnam
A good friend is an engineer with a company that fits specialty copper, I'll ask him about that when I see him for brews in a couple of weeks. He should at least have an inkling about hybridization of metals. I know I don't! Though we've discussed it on occasion. Your point about venting is intrigui...

Re: 2015 USA pcx 150 made in Vietnam
Actually, aluminum would work better than copper for most parts of an LED heatsink.
Copper conducts heat. Aluminum dissipates heat. That is the main reason automotive radiators are made of aluminum - In addition to: cost, weight, supply, malleability, storage, etc.

Thank you. Being a wearer of eyeglasses I prefer the modular helmets, but, if my old Fulmer will fit under the seat that will be fine.gn2 wrote:Some large helmets will not fit, the main offenders are flip-front lids and ones with large aerodynamic protrusions on them.

Re: 2015 PCX150 US
My full face large Box BX1 and backup, Shox, will not fit under the 2015 seat. At best there would need to be an extra cm or so to stop the seat being pressed upwards. Hence, I would not leave them under there. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was going to get a new lid with the scoot purchase, a...

Re: 2015 USA pcx 150 made in Vietnam
LEDs are made to be use specific. In TVs they are not resistant to vibration but they must be extremely color and luminosity accurate. In Chinese flashlights, they need only be cheap. Their use in motor vehicles has reached, oh, say...their adolescent phase. Low power emitters for interior use have ...

Re: Well I saw the new Burgman 200 today
I wrote off the Burgman 200 due to it's reported highway MPG of 71. That would be absurd for a 200! In comparison, Honda's NC700D (Integra) is only 10% lower!

A full face won't fit under the 2013 PCX seat? I was told it would. Sure hope the 2015 does not have the same limitation.

Quite right Mel! My experience with Honda is that their mechanicals' are top tier, and with fewer design and manufacturing flaws than most others. Of course they are not without error - anyone seen a Goldwing frame around here.... :) If it is man-made, it can't be perfect. It cost Intel well into 9-...

Re: 2013 PCX150 w/7000 miles
Tell the seller you would like a dealer to inspect the vehicle (it is worth it). If he even remotely hesitates - walk away. Ask for maintenance records. If he does not have any or they are not timely - walk away. Even if he has done the work himself that is fine as long as he has records. If he did ...

... but registered to the 'dealer' with zero miles - something that seems to occur quite frequently for some reason (pre-registered to the dealer as first owner). Wonder why they do that and not just hold them in the showroom, as the 2yr warranty does start once registered. Interesting; never heard...

Re: Current Offers from Honda
I did check out a 2013 PCX at a dealer and he quoted me (on paper), $3,549. I think(?) that was an O.T.D. price. If not, then tax will be added (@ 8.625% on the dollar). That brings his 2013 PCX "special" price to: $3,855.10 My dealer here quoted $2999 OTD +tax / tag. ~ $3200. He said the...

Re: Brand new 2015 or used 2013?
question: 1) Does the 2015 have illuminated ignition? 2) Is there a limiter on the models outside the US? 3) Where can I get an end cap for my stock muffler and other cool parts? I've read that the US model is speed limited to 70 Mp/H (113 Km/H), presumably to protect the drivetrain. And, presumabl...
