Re: :( So long PCX

30 years ago when i was living in England my beloved Honda 500T was stolen and later found burnt out only 5 miles away. Police reckoned it had been used for hill climbing racing. Cant imagine the PCX being used for that but plenty of other reasons why low life would want to steal them.

The noise is mainly my badly fitting visor in the Shark helmet I have that is renowned for being noisy. Taping the gap between ...

Re: Yet another windshield thread (aerodynamics related)

Ive just taped over the gap in the front of my Ermax +25 to see the affect now I am coming up to winter. I think its the same gap on the stock windscreen too, about 2 inches wide by 10 inches across above the headlights. I was getting helmet noise before and that seems reduced now. Will go home on a...

Re: how does your PCX handle in the rain?

The PCX is fine in the rain; it comes down to the rider and how you ride. Mine has stock tires and I ride in any weather in sailing boots rather than bike boots. I quite enjoy it but have been riding motorbikes for 20 years.

Re: Riding with full beam on all the time.

Austin, I agree. High beam is also going to dazzle the internal mirror of cars and mirrors of other bikes when behind them. I just think its a big no no. And if you've got a black or silver PCX that camoflages with the road color, that was your choice when you bought it. I've got white and hear you ...

after getting my seat modified (hump removed) I added a couple of strips of thin foam insulating tape to get the under seat microswitch to behave itself.

This is gn2 on his motorbike when its 2 degrees:

but for the rest of us a tall windscreen is a must. The small ermax is only good for looks wont keep the wind off you. If you go ermax go the +25.

Re: Yet another windshield thread (aerodynamics related)

Im happy with my ermax +25 (tallest version). Keeps all wind off my chest, gives me a higher top speed and looks OK. Its not as tall as the tall givi but Im 193cm tall and Im satisfied. I posted pics elsewhere on this forum but if you cant find them let me know and I will repost.

Either the electrons run down the side stand to drain out to the road from the battery...or your dealer is full of shiite! I suspect the latter!

Re: Newbie

Hey Nobody
I bought off eBay a Windjammer 2 which attaches to the base of a full face helmet and is neoprene. It seals around your neck and cuts down helmet noise. Also keeps the cold off your chin!

Re: Lust

So half the price of the new Beemer Scooter. Cant wait to see one. Looks like my PCX with its tall Ermax screen. Wish the mirrors were on the fairing though and not on the handlebars. Wonder if you have to pay extra for a centre stand like Honda are starting to do :(

nice bike. The 500 would compliment my white pcx nicele. Wonder if the seat hump can move, for us tall riders. I have trouble sitting on Burgman 650 with knees almost touching the fairings.

Re: Riding with full beam on all the time.

just ride assuming no cars can see you so you have a plan B if they swerve towards you. And be careful of the eyeball trick. I used to assume if the driver is looking towards you so you can see their eyeballs then they can see you. Worked until I got hit by a left hand drive car from europe but in L...
