Re: Woolley's PCX
it might also be the only one with idle-stop :P You'll struggle to get it registered. They'll think you're un-American. Pack an orange boilersuit and expect some free accomodation. On a serious note, you would have to be insane to export a UK spec PCX to the USA, it would probably cost more than ju...

long industrial road ~ lots of lorries use it Diesel. I have been riding motorbikes since the mid 1970s and imo oem PCX tyres are perfectly acceptable. Sounds to me like you just haven't developed the ability to sense grip levels. As you become more experienced you will be able to predict where and...

Re: Winter gloves
You get used to it very quickly, matter of minutes.
If you think about it there is no need for you to use individual fingers while riding.
I used to wear overmitts over leather gloves in the winter and the lobsterclaws are like silk gloves by comparison.

Depends on how clean and dry the roads are.Esdain wrote:the k&n says you should clean it every 50k miles or something silly like that, so you'll not really need to clean it all that often.
If it's wet and filthy where you are it'll need cleaning more often.

The standard ones being disposable are far easier to use, no need to waste time cleaning them out.

are they better than the standard one? Depends who you ask. A K&N salesman will say yes. Someone who has used K&N filters in cars will probably say yes. Someone who has fitted one to a PCX and done a comparison of the two would possibly say no. I have used K&N filters in off road 4x4 ve...

Good stuff Wooley, it's nice to get payments like that out the way.
My PCX will be paid off in 20 months.
With the interest free credit deal I'm in no hurry to pay it up.

Have a look to see if you've dislodged any connectors when you removed the pipe. Did you use a new exhaust gasket? Try leaving the battery disconnected for 15 minutes and try again. The speedo is driven by info from a speed sensor which I think also provides info to the fuel injection. If you have k...
