Homie was right!!! 13g better than 12g rollers!
12g vs 13g rollers...that is the question! Well, I got curious. Seeing as peak HP arrives at 8200rpm, and Homie was hitting 7400 RPM with 13g rollers (albeit with larger tires) I decided to order some 12g rollers and see for myself. Did some 0-50 runs and compared them to my video of my timed 0-60 r...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
Ultimately, if you live in the sticks with no freeways and don't intend to drive over 65mph, then none of these mods are for you. If you want to go faster, encounter hills, carry a passenger up hills, are a heavy rider, etc...then you'll want to start messing with the scoot to cozx whatever you can ...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
cheese grate The metal on the back of the air filter is structural to keep the paper element from getting sucked in. I wouldn't mess with that. This air filter is so huge for the size of this tiny engine that changing it makes little sense. No way that element is getting sucked in. Been running it ...

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
Dang, scooter wheelies all over the place with a little tug on the bars and good in. Pretty happy, but lets see wats the 12g's do. Got NCY rollers again, not sliders since they were almost doub;e the $$$

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
So, the pod filter is off the bike. Stock airbox back on minus the small snorkel and cheese grater. Got out the spade drill bit and drilled 2 5/8" holes on the underside of the airbox just below where the opening (louvers) are at the front of the airbox. While I had the airbox off and air filte...

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
RoadMaus, you r the noob. There is nothing you can tell us that we don't already know. =P Unless your idea is an electronic hack to remove the Rev limiter, or pull the motor and change the drive gear, no way you're going to go any faster than stock without touching the variator. Spill the details or...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
Is this airbox the same part you recommended I cut off?
Not cut off, but you can remove the outer snorkel and removed the "cheese grater" & screen behind the air filter. I may experiment with cutting additional holes in the airbox or drilling holes near the existing op...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
looks like it was pulling at 7,400 rpm. It would probably do a quicker 0-50mph time with 12 gram weights to get you to 8,000. Maybe 11gm. That is some crazy long gearing with the big tire in addition to the NCY vario. 68mph at 8,200 rpm. Most stock bike are around 67mph at 9,600. Definitely need to...

Re: Speed & Power mods for 2015 PCX US model?
Remove the airfilter and look at the back of it. There is a metal screen and a cheese grater looking thing on the back side of it. A razor blade will cut off the 4 platic buttons/nubs that hold it on. I don't have scientific or dyno proof, but assuming that removing the restriction can only be a goo...

Re: Touring/long trips on Forza
I just did 240 mile round trip in a day to the NHRA drag races in Pomona, CA with my 12yr old son on the back who is 5' 0" and weighs 85lbs. Moved along at decent speeds on the freeway. 2/3 - 3/4 of the trip was spent in full race tuck with him laying down on my back behind me! I'm only 150lbs,...

Reminder to check your oil!
Hey kids. Just a reminder to check your oil. I put on a pod filter and have the crank vent exposed to atmosphere (no catch can, etc) and it seems to be puffing a lot out the crank vent under sustained high speed operation. Maybe the lower weight rollers have a little something to do with that as wel...

Re: Speed & Power mods for 2015 PCX US model?
I lost no mpg at all, in fact got my best mpg with the NCY vario, drive face and 13g rollers. Just be sure to keep an eye on your oil level people! And, remember it needs to be measured with the bike on the center stand, not the side stand.

Re: Sissy bar
I agree WhiteNoise, it's not hard, but in order to make it look right and not garage made, would take some time and know how. Would rather spend a reasonable amount on something already made. Just went down after posting this and mounted a milk crate on the back, fashioned some armrests and it came ...

Re: Sissy bar
Dangit, I want this one, but looks like it's not available for shipping outside Turkey! I like it because unlike the OP's 2 bolt mounting, this one mounts to all four holes, shouldn't flex, and sit much higher so my kids could actually lean back on it. Also looks like it mounts further forward towar...

Well, then we all gotta go on a diet. I can get down to 145lbs at the lightest...currently 153lbs. That should help a bit!

Re: Selling tips ?
Body panels are cheap for these scoots. I use http://www.apachemotorcycles.com for OEM parts. You can get a new plastic cover for the exhaust for cheap too (prob under $10). And yeah, def needs a cleaning! Where do you live? I just sold my other 2013 with 900 miles pristine for $2,600. Bought it bac...

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review
I wish Honda or other manufacturers would use some benchmarks when considering the size/weight/engine size of these things. Like, the ability to maintain 70mph up a 4% grade with a 10mph headwind for a 160lb rider or whatever the metric is. Only way my PCX could do that is with a 110lb rider in a fu...

Sorry guys, was 75 degrees today in San Diego where I live a block from the water. I'll join in with you ceremoniously and "store" my bike for a night in the garage. =)

Re: The Exhaust Thread.
Homie, you talking to me? It's not much louder than stock if you're asking about mine. Surprisingly quiet. Exhaust audios are hard to judge. There is one of my exhaust by another user on youtube. Exhaust was $255 shipped from Webike. (Bought 2 at once to get free shipping). There was no tax of cours...
