Re: Pcx Max tire size front and rear?
Those tires are anywhere between 3-5lbs heavier each per tire. The feeling of stability you're encountering is from increased gyroscopic effect from the heavier tires, which is a negative effect. The increased gyro effect with the heavier weight tires will also help keep the bike slightly more uprig...

Re: Another hump question
No, but it looks pretty much the same. Just 2/3" further back. Not really noticeable visibly.katschamne wrote:Thanks ScooterMan. That's perfect because if I slotted it that would be where it would end up as well. Do you have a picture of the top of the seat as well.

Re: Another hump question
Ok, here's my seat mod pic. Hope this helps. =) I help a ruler up just for reference. Looks like it moves the hump back about 5/8" which is surprisingly noticeable! I cut (arched) the top of the seat vinyl with a razor blade about a half inch on top just so when the drill bit went through from ...

Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
Very cool pics. I know that look is not for everyone, but like how it came together in the end. I'll def pull off and weigh the passenger footpegs, and try pulling off the windscreen too. Although I like that for being able to tuck behind for aero purposes. I fear a loss in top speed due to lack of ...

Re: Another hump question
Ok, will do in a few hours when I get a chance. At 5'5", drilling the holes will/should solve any issues for you. Husband is out of luck if he rides it. Lol

Can you take a pic of the rear tire semi-close up directly from behind? Would like to see how the profile is!

DasshReddar, can you post up some pics of your scoot, or a link to them? Interested to see how it looks without the windscreen, and your rear fender, etc.

Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
*4 lbs for footpegs? Guessing that not just the aluminum pegs then, but some other part that bolts too it for support as well? *Grab rail removal? I want to keep my bike from looking cannibalized, do you still have the plastic cover on that goes over the rail? *rear fender? Guessing the entire assy ...

Re: Pcx Max tire size front and rear?
I really don't like this idea as it distorts the tire profile. It will give you a more squared profile meaning more contact patch on the straights, but dramatically less at partial lean and beyond. If you rarely lean it over, it may not kill you. Either way, the wider tires are usually rated for hig...

Re: HI Everyone
OP and others, if you are 5' 8" or less, you can remove the seat and drill 2 new holes as far back as possible (a little less than an inch) and get the hump to an acceptable position while giving up some rear passenger room. THis will also allow you to lock out your legs in a straight position ...

Re: Daytime Riding with High Beam?
Most of the time yes. I have noticed a direct correlation between having it on and reduced attempts by people to change into my lane unexpectedly. Also, in CA, it DEFINITELY helps with visibility while lane splitting. I will cut them down on 2 lane roads usually.

Re: Another hump question
I drilled new holes (not slotted) my hump. It's a mild improvement. If you're about 5'8" or in the neighborhood, it might help you to lock our your legs straight on the floorboards. SInce I'm 5'10", after the mod I can only lock out my legs if I'm barefoot...which I'm not going to do! Lol ...

Re: Average fuel consumption
I'm pretty much full throttle everywhere. And when I get on the freeway, also full throttle. Get close to 80mpg, 150lb rider 5'10" tall.
One of these days I'd like to experiment by taking it easier and seeing how it goes.

ScooterMan, link or info on the Lion battery please! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CGNCNPY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There was another brand that was 105CCA for $74.00 on amazon, this one was 150CCA for $79. I've run LiIon batteries in several bikes before. Always a nice we...

Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
I agree the scooter is reasonably light already, especially compared to a Forza, burgman, Majesty, etc. Power to weight, it's already pretty decent. For me in SoCal with freeways moving consistently well above 70mph, an extra mph up a hill is very comforting when cars are zipping by fast when I'm st...

I got 20lbs off my CBR 250 and that definitely helped in handling and in going up hills!

Re: Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
Every little bit helps when going up hills on the freeway on an under powered scooter. Also aids in shortening braking distances, improved flickability, acceleration, etc.

Centerstand removed...Weighs 2.75lbs
Yup, going for some minor weight savings. Couldn't find any data on the weight of the centerstand, so pulled it off and put it on my postage scale. 2.75lbs. All 4 reflectors save another 6 oz. Just ordered up my Lion battery also for $79 shipped. Weighs 1.1lb vs stock 4.6lbs for a 3.5lb savings. =) ...
