Re: top end keeps getting slower
huh, this is consusing...but belts have been known to wear fast, especially with aftermrket contra springs or lots of hills or passenger carrying. How many mile did you drive since installing the new parts? It would be entirely possible to lose 2-3mph over 500-700 miles under those conditions.

Re: Well I saw the new Burgman 200 today
Yeah, I think the Forza over the Burgman 200 for sure. I don't care for the looks of the Burgman 200, or it's relative weight to the PCX, or it's much lower fuel economy.
But I'm still reasonably happy with my PCX.

Re: Brand new 2015 or used 2013?
I picked up a 2nd PCX150 (black) 2013 with 16 miles on it for $2300 back in May in perfect condition. I really do dig the white 2015 though. Difficult justifying the additional expense. Either way, my friends still make fun of me on it coming from a modified 1,000cc sportbike. I don't let it bother ...

Re: Anyone want a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust?
UPDATE: Ordered the exhausts this morning and got another forum member going in on it with me so we got free shipping on the deal. Thx to everyone for helping with your comments and I'll be sure to post a nice review afterwards and maybe some before/after comparisons of speeds attained on some of my...

10 days worst case scenario with webike, usually it's the customs that delay delivery otherwise you'd get it in 4-5 days..[/quote]
Do they charge any customs fees/taxes for US customers? I live in California.

Re: Anyone want a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust?
Considering this is free shipping of a bulky part like an exhaust, (not some tiny item), I'm assuming it won't be coming expedited. Thanks for letting me know...just planning for the worst and not getting my hopes up. =)

Re: Anyone want a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust?
It should, but hang on...I'll decide by tonight if I'm going to go through with the order. From what others say, it takes some time to get thee things from Japan. ANyone else here want to chime in on how long you had to wait for parts from Webike? I know guys have waited 6 weeks for seats before fro...

Re: Anyone want a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust?
Ok, I've got a day left to get the discount...still thinking about this. ALso, considering the fact that I kinda want the new Honda CB300F, and whether I want to put any money into the PCX, or just get that. And of course, what I think the wife will let me do! =P

Re: Dr. Pulley & Contra spring testing
Hey guys. I need a little help here. I've switched JCosta variator for my stock with the variator boss a lot shorter just to see... Bad thing to do!! A few km in highway my Malossi belt broke!! Took my PCX to my home and installed the JCosta again with Athena belt that has some km on it but is new ...

Re: Anyone want a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust?
This is the dyno chart for the 170cc kit. The bottom line is stock...the next curve above it is with the power silent oval exhaust and nothing else. THe top two are the 170cc kit added. Other differences in the graph are FiCon and the sport cam. Anyway, that's a 12-15% gain in HP...not bad at all! h...

Anyone want a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust?
I've decided on this exhaust. I did some research a few months ago, and this exhaust is much lighter than the Takegawa silent sport exhaust ( which weighs close to stock), and adds more power than the slightly cheaper, and heavier black silent sport (I think 3/4hp or so) which will definitely help w...

Re: 2015 fender eliminator
nice work...really want to justify selling one of my 2013's (or both) just to get this 2015. The changes are minor, and yet, so major! Digging the 2015 White PCX. Nice work on the fender eliminate. Should still keep water/dirt of a passenger's back.

Re: Variators for increased speed,
Wow, lots of feedback here. I had the NCY super transmission kit ($250-$300) and it was a rocket off the line! However, around 50mph you had slower accel to fonal top speed of 72 mph. I removed the clutch that came with the kit and put the stock one back on and now just run the NCY variator, NCY dri...

Re: Top Box and Seating
Mel46, I've combed over the vehicle code in CA and there's nothing that states you can't have more than one passenger...in fact, the wording actually would indicate otherwise! http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=veh&group=27001-28000&file=27800-27803 Keep an eye on the fina...

Re: Top Box and Seating
I'm curious about seating on a motorcycle in the US. I have 2 kids, and they can both fit on there with me. In CA, the requirement according to the vehicle code is that they sit behnd the driver and can reach the floorboard/footpegs. They fit that criteria. Doesn't specify how many passengers are al...

Sh3p, curious what you paid for your used 2013, and how many miles it had. I got 2 2013 Pcx150's and live in San Diego. Might be a good time to sell one with college season coming up.

I want a backrest that is not just a butt-hump, but one that you can actually lean back against. Curious to see a pic of yours Mel46!
