Re: 2013 Performance
No way to know however without throwing the bike on the dyno and experimenting with different intake lengths to find out what length provides the most power at 8k rpm. . There have been locked dynos for the pcx150 posted in other threads. The stock tuning already has it's power peak at 8,000. That ...

Re: 2013 Performance
I meant if you install the pod filter directly on the throttle body its 45min to an hour. There is some debate about "tuned length" but overall, it's not a myth, but you have to understand what "tuned" means. The "Tuned" portion has to due with the length of the intake....

Re: 2013 Performance
Nice to hear that you're liking the exhaust. I installed mine the same time as the pod filter so I can't give you a hint as to how each mod feels alone. Regarding installing the pod filter in the airbox, I'm not so sure that's a benefit over just running the standaard air filter the way it already i...

Not sure where you got your DB ratings from, but this page is saying 95 and 97db.

Re: Motorcycles - damn addictive aren't they!
This is me a couple years ago on a Kawasaki 636 a couple years ago. http://youtu.be/M2lNcSWmsb8?t=12s I've had 30 motorcyles and am now 40 years old. I got busted doing a wheelie on the bike in this video a few months later (twice). I have since resigned myself to riding a scooter. I don't miss the ...

You may want to hang onto the stock pipe until after you mount up the new one. THe Yosh should be a lot louder than the Tak even with the silencer in (if it comes with one). Plus, in the future, when/if you sell your scoot, the Yosh may not add any additional value to most buyers but will still be w...

[quote="supermattyp"]i have a forza but I was just curious for my bike. I may check it out and see if they make one for me. Thanks for the info.[/quote The MMG3 should be enough juice for cranking it over. So, the same one I have. It's 150CCA's. Stock 2013 is like 95CCA. Stock 2015 is 120C...

Re: tyres tires
I know others swear by it...but I still don't get it...going with 140 rear and 120 front that is... A) It will cost you accel B) It will cost you top speed on a flat Now, it will add top speed to your downhill speed, but won't show up on the speedo, but GPS will indicate it. You will gain a bit more...

The battery is an MMG3 Li Ion battery from Amazon.com for $79 shipped. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CGNCNPY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I had found one on another site for $62 shipped, but a few days after I ordered it, I get an email saying "out of stock" and my...

Re: Benchmark Stock 2015 PCX
The 2015 may be designed more for grunt rather than top speed. Aside from the fact that the top speed is lower, it has a smaller throttle body.

Re: clutch sound... help?
Just so everyone knows, or those following this thread...I checked the parts fiche for the bearing in question and it's the same part # for 2013 and 2015 models. So, 2015 owners may not necessarily be safe.

Awesome!!! I'm all about efficiency....whether for performance or economy. I've had several hybrid cars and currently own a Nissan Leaf EV. Had a deposit in the past on several prototype EV's that never made it to market (don't worry, got my money back). But always wished there was more innovation i...

Re: How cold will you ride?
I found gloves to be the weak point too. A good tall windscrren helps, but keeping hands warm is critical. I've also found that 40 degrees is about the tipping point. After that, I'd have to do some research on how to keep my hands warmer. Fortunately, living a block from the water in San Diego, tem...

Re: weird tire mix...
I wish I lived in a country where aftermarket scooter parts were mainstream, instructions for thse parts came in english, and there were scooter magazines that reviewd and dyno tested these modifications. I really feel like a lot of the PCX mods are just a roll of the dice when you start doing big b...

Re: weird tire mix...
Huh, it looks nice and fast. Cool stuff. I wish i had the bawlz to spend the money to make mine faster. Having a fast scooter is like being the coolest nerd though. And for the money spent to mod it, might as well buy a stock Reflex and do some variator tuning and an exhaust ans a Li Ion battery. Co...

Re: Another tire change / Input thread
Oh yeah...forgot about the C-Clamp method. I think mine disappeared which is why I used a jack handle with a sock over the end (to protect the rim) and just pushed down on it. That reminds me. Need to go pick up a cheap 4-6" C-Clamp at Harbor Freight or the Swap meet. Lol. As far as the zip tie...

I have been using Rotella full syntheitc in the dark blue bottle 5w-40. I also have been known to run Mobil1 too...just depends on what I have handy. But always full synthetic. I wouldn't hesitate to run 5w-30 in there though either. Just don't go 20w-50, straight 40 weight, or 0w-10, 0w-20, etc. K...

Re: clutch sound... help?
Can't help but wonder if the additional holes you have drilled in the clutch cover might have contributed to the failure by allowing in additional elements. Although that wouldn't ecplain Mel46's failure. So the question is, is this a faulty bearing issue, or a debris/contaminant issue to blame?
