Re: A tragic reminder for us all... Warning : Graphic conten

I have cars turn in front of me all the time that are under the impression I'm going the speed limit not 95 mph. Scooterman hit that nail on the head! That guy would still be alive if he were on a PCX. Video said he was going 100mph. Speed kills. And other drivers when they quickly scan aren't able...

Question about tyres and drive belt replacement

Hey all So my tyres are nearing the legal limit and I am planning to order a new set this weekend. From the forums its almost a given that the Michelin City Grips are possibly the best option. I do ride all year around in the Great British weather (i.e. rain for 11 months!). Just wondered if there a...

A tragic reminder for us all... Warning : Graphic content

Hey all Saw this video posted online yesterday and a biker buddy sent me the link to it as well (who happens to be the same age and has the same bike as the guy in the video). A very harrowing and tragic video about a guy who was killed while riding.... People in the UK may have seen this... sent sh...

Re: Max miles per tank?

I don't even play that game. Fuel gauge starts flashing around 100 miles and I hit the next gas station. Running out of gas once will do that to you. (Have fun pushing to the station) Oh and I ran out at 126miles. Probably because I was in a hurry the previous fill and did not top off. DOH!! Ouch! ...

Max miles per tank?

Hi all Like it says on the tin, what's the most miles you have got out of a tank before conking out or filling up. Fuelly says the furthest I have managed is 158 miles on a single tank before I chickened out and filled up. (the best consumption I have managed is 138mpg which was on a tank where I fi...

Re: Hear Ye, Hear Ye....Decision Made!

Seriously, I'm not concerned. Whether I'm riding or driving (on this small dot on the planet), folks pay no attention to anyone's plates, never mind memorizing them! Very true, normally no one looks at plates or takes interest and even the personalised ones are lost in the fragments of memory in no...

Re: Dismount to fuel up ??

I always dismount and stick it on the centre stand before filling up. I have a modular helmet which I only flip open if I am paying at the counter. Have never bothered when paying at the pumps. I usually end up at either an Esso, Shell, BP or Tesco petrol station depending on which point of my commu...

Re: Any high mileages ?

Coming up to 14k miles on mine now which is a 2011 model. I bought it October 2013 when it had 5,500 miles on it. As a daily runner doing between 50-60 miles a day, it has worked a treat. I have done the servicing myself (learned from a friend who has a lot more riding experience than me) so overall...

Re: Knocking sound

Since yesterday I have noticed a slight knocking sound .... Is this something anyone has experienced before? Yes, I started to walk and jog again to lose a bit of weight before my daughter's wedding (gotta look good for the father/daughter dance) and I am hearing all sorts of knocking .... I think ...

Hello PCX peoples... I live in the UK and have a 2011 PCXy which I love (the wife says I love it more than her... jury's still out! :D ) I had the good fortune of having 2 weeks off in which time I didnt get any time to ride. I did take it out one day to my friend's place (about 40 miles each way) s...

Re: Perplexed...

binje, Perhaps you unknowingly dropped a; stone to impress your new handlers. At our zoo they like their charges trim. 6kg could account for the .5% increase. I don't know that the engine would so quickly become looser... Were that I could drop a stone that easily... Even after a good bowel movemen...

Re: Perplexed...

I'm not sure an extra 6 miles (3 miles each way if I understand your post correctly) is going to make that much difference, but being that you have only been riding for 8 months, I'm wondering if the air temps are warmer now and that will make a fairly significant difference, particularly if your w...
