Re: Variators for increased speed,

So what happened to the j. Costa test? mine is a 125cc, coming up to 3 years old, 14,800km on the clock, standard air filter / exhaust, but J Costa variator fitted. Down a long dual carriageway managed to get it up to 118kph (circa 73 mph) before the rev limiter cut in...... Went back home and got ...

The reality of owning a PCX in Pattaya, Thailand

Turned up (without an appointment) to one of the FOURTY main Honda scooter dealers here..... Whats brilliant about the Thais, is that they don't keep you waiting.....within 5 mins of me arriving, my bike was on the ramp with a mechanic hard at it.... The problem was that the rev limiter has been cut...

Re: My first post (be gentle !)

Welcome! Both your bikes look great, Hatari! I am considering the CB500X. Only the matte black is offered in the U.S. I like the white very much. Are custom seats for the X also popular in Thailand? no, not seen one...standard one is ok..... Thanks, I appreciate the info. Hope the monsoons aren't k...

Re: Commuting in Winter?

On all the bikes I've commuted with, the main issue in winter riding is your hands freezing and if frozen, you hands hurt and cannot operate the controls quick enough! Agree. 30 minutes or more at sub 3C temps and 55 mph will have you stopping to warm your fingers on the engine regardless of whatev...

Honda CB500X

Besides the PCX, i've got a Honda CB500X.....

Really can't fault it, but to be honest i prefer my riding my PCX and for longer trips use the car, so the result is that the CBX spends most of its time under a dust cover......

Re: Warning to those changing the gear/transmission oil.

I know almost all of us bought a PCX for the fun and fuel economy (I got 110 MPG on the last tank) To keep it economical we also tend to do our own maintenance to keep costs down. In this case though, with regard to transmission oil, if I had that much trouble doing it I think I'd bite the bullet a...
