Spare hex key only?

Post by BenFace13 »

Hi guys, forum newbie here. Recently took delivery of a 2019 PCX125 and loving it!

The key lock cover is a nice deterrent, but a bit fiddly for my fat fingers to undo with the hex key on the main key. I noticed the attached image seems to suggest you can get the hex keys as standalone bits - anyone seen these for sale and know where I may be able to get one?

Thanks in advance!

I am going to guess that you are not in the United States, so would you mind going into your profile and adding your general location, please?

Thanks Mel.
Welcome Ben and thanks for adding your location.
I did a quick google search last night and came up with nothing. Where did you find that photo? Were any tips given with that photo on where to obtain these shorty hex door openers? Maybe go back and look closer?
I like it and wouldn't mind owning one myself. Stock hex get chewed up over time. My accuracy with gloves on is....well, a bit awkward - yeah "You" get that! :D

To Fellow members across the pool (haha), can you get yer hands on these individual hex shorties? If so, can you share a link?

Don't they have magnets embedded so your key wouldn't open my lock (unless the stars aligned and we had the same config)?

I have two of those type keys for my Forza300, they are for opening the seat in an emergency as its keyless, you pull the panel off and use the key to open the seat, then you can use the emergency override thingy after you enter the code and it lets you start the bike and get you home. I assume in case you battery dies or the unit fails.

Everything can be had off flea bay (and other) now or later. Yikes! right?
I def get it but we tend to help one another just the same/either way.
Think about your Very Helpful - "Seat Release Back up...Auxiliary seat latch release."
Hmm...You helped out "All the Bodies" right there. Your thread sits on the scale of to be, or not to be.
I think most of us would chant, "to be!" So beit, and we thank you again homie ;) 8)

There are threads on other forum's with remedies for their bike(s) too because sooner or later keys and junk get left in the trunk. Noooo...
Seat closes - Boom, panic! Those forums later concerned that the World learned what they learned. It's not a Secret.
How's about, Hide-a-key? Shoot, I still have mine. A magnetic key tin from the late 60's  Oh and later a Rock edition!

Search here under "Duplicate key for my 2015 PCX"
Had mine sent from Scotland to Canada. Works.
Just let the new magnets stick to your old key and push
them into your new key. Don't go thinking about North-South
direction about the magnets like I did. Just push them in
Hex to hex and seal.
