The price is acceptable but the design? not so much

If that THING is really 11k screw it i'll buy one. If it sucks i'll sell it and take the hit. This is how its going and if Erik Buell thinks I should ride that weird looking contraption maybe it rides better than it looks. Is that a green back lite trim or just decal? I'd like to wipe that windscreen off of there and the tail guard YUCK!

I'm going to hold my nose and treat this like a BIG scooter purchase. Easy to clean, quiet to ride and really counting on it being as nimble as the Buell racing designs. Surely he would have insisted this thing ride like a champion.

11K undercuts a Zero by a bunch. As far as the design, I expect that most of it is to get low air drag to increase performance and/or range. I tried a zero once - it was just great as a ride, but the quiet power was delicious.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Better specs here... seems the first article mixed up specifications. I think they had the bicycle sporting the motorcycle batteries and performance or visa versa

Order march 4th delivery 2021.... boooooooo
questions remaining i can't find answers to:
1. What are Flow and Flow-1s top speeds
2. Charge at public station for the motorbike? Because it won't say charge at home like it does for the bicycle.
I wouldn't make it to a public charging station  that's a deal breaker for me.

I still think electric bicycles and 4 wheel platforms are a good thing. And further development makes a good thing now only better later on.

But IMHO not motorcycles or maxi scooters. . .at least not where range is involved.

If one is going to ride within a 20 mile loop from charge to charge then OK . . ..

Electric bicycles can be pedaled, although a chore, if the battery runs low. Try doing that with an electric motorcycle.

That said, cars/trucks that are hybrids, can go the distance. . .like the Chevy Volt. It's practical. It's a platform for all the gadgetry required.

To me, electric motorcycles are just not practical . . . at least not right now. . . especially if the plan is to ride one out of town.

However, they do perform well on race tracks . . . where they are always near the "Mother" charger for nourishment. ;)

Honda NC750 front wheel.
Looks like a photoshop/CAD image.

When I see videos of real people buying them and riding them then I'll believe it.
In the meantime I'll remain sceptical.

May be cheaper than a Zero, (may not, hasn't even been built yet) but looks shit and has shit range compared to a Zero.
The Zero also has the distinct advantage of actually existing in the real world.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

I'm still packing up in Illinois but wifey joined the great conservative exodus already. Fighting to keep Florida.........

easy edit for you there WN :D (thanx, done! - WN) ;)

As for the Precious she's for sale, only taking one bike. Buell/Fuell Uban Electric to be the new BIG scooter as I'm getting in line for 2021 delivery. My loyalty is to Erik Buell & made in the USA in the end. If Erik says we scoot electric... i will comply. Until then it's just me and the fossil fuel burning Beastie blasting over the Sunshine Skyway with a big grin on my face & Old Glory across my back.
