Pressure?

Hi everyone.

As a matter of interest to all those riders on the PSX150 with wider tires/tyres, what cold pressure do you all run on front and rear?

Wider tires shouldn't take any more pressure. It's all about the same ; 29 in the front 33 in the rear

I actually run lower pressures, 26/28.

I am running roughly the same as you, about 25 front now and 30 rear as I have my lady friend on the back occasionally (I prefer 28 though). I have City Grip 140/70 rear and 120/70 front. Any more pressure and the rid suffers, and the contact patch is only about an inch wide. Need more rubber on the ground than that.

They actually take less, more air volume needs less PSI if the bike and rider weight are the same.

For me, if the pressure drops too much off 29/33 then I notice the ride suffers, handling is less good.

What size tires are you running? Stock or oversized?

I noted on my standard sized tires, though they are Michelins, that if the pressure is low on them the handling is much worse. Turning may seem just little harder, and the ride itself is not as comfortable. Sometimes I don't realize that it is the tires at first, but I know that something is not right. It may be the same with oversized tires. Don't be afraid to try different pressures to find the optimal one for your situation.
