Oil Spec for New 2018 Honda Forza 300

Post by Old Grinner »

What are the oil specs that the owner's manual calls out for in the new 2018/2019 Honda Forza 300 for the engine and final drive?

Is it the same Pro Honda HP4M 10w-30 or 10w-40 (with Moly) for the engine and 10w-30 for the final drive called out in the PCX manual?

Just wondered if the same oil that's recommended for the PCX is also recommended for the new Forza. :geek:

FWIW I did read the other oil thread about the Chevron Supreme but the Forzas listed there were mostly all 2014-2015 machines. I couldn't seem to find the oil spec for the new 2018 Forza anywhere and wasn't sure if they recommend full synthetic now or continue to recommend the same spec for the earlier models. That said the new one takes 1. 7L.

Also. . .what's the load carrying capacity on the new Forzas? Hoping it's at least close to 400 lbs. for rider, passenger, and gear. Not having them sold here yet in the U.S. does pose a challenge. :geek:

And something I don't believe anyone knows. . .if and when it will be released in the U.S. although I've read conflicting reports.

The only midsize scooter (or motorcycle for that matter) that I know of with a 400 lb capacity is the Burgman 400.
But that has never stopped anyone from overloading them.
