I scored this map at the local visitor center today. It marks out a number of nice rides for motorbikes. When it says, It's Just Around the Bend, there are lots of those here. Nice riding so far.

Also at the visitor center was the sign pictured below. Maybe I will be able to travel around the world while I am here. ;) Made it to Lebanon today.

You should be happily busy for a good while in Maine. Places can be pretty far apart, though - watch your gas gauge/trip odo.

Maine has a sense of humor. There are many towns named after countries and world-famous big cities. I expect the residents of Paris, Maine take great delight telling strangers where the live.

For a taste of "downeast" humor, give a listen to "Bert and I".

Make sure you have a full tank before going to Mexico. That's a long ride and they may not have any gas stations, or they trade in furs instead of gas.

Madrid and China are even further, but I will probably have to get a ferry, so I should save a bit of fuel mileage on that part of the trip. ;)

Went to school in Unity ME end of 70s. China was not that far away. When people asked where Unity was I liked to tell them “near Freedom and Liberty”.
Considering a ride to visit my friend in Eastport next year. Need to figure best way passed the RT 1 traffic from York and north.
