My 2013 PCX is 5 years old which makes me think the battery and tires are getting near the end of their lives.

My scooter only has 3900 KMS (2400 miles) so there is really no visible tire wear, but rubber does has a shelf live

As for the battery, no issues yet but I don't really want to wait until the bike won't start

No need to change either just yet.
So long as the battery reliably starts the scooter and there are no visible cracks in the tyres you're good to go.
Tyre life varies by a number of factors, storage in direct sunlight not good, storage indoors or under cover much better.
The five year thing is all about companies selling product...

Our 2013 models have only had one battery change and three replaced tires, between two bikes. One bike has 13,000 miles on it. The other has a bit over 5,000 miles. I changed the rear tire on the 5,000 one when I bought it just because I like Michelin on the back.

Otherwise, both bikes are running fine. The battery AND the tires were changed due to use, not time.

Ride the bike and worry about something else.

I would go for a new battery for Precious before 5 years for sure.

Searching on google.....I seen several tire manufactures have a date stamped on their tires, and suggest not to exceed this date regardless of mileage...typically it's 6 years

The factory tires seem to be rather hard rubber, which makes them not so great in the wet weather....not sure if they were this way brand new

Money is not a major concern for me, as I've always believed that one should never cheap out on tires and/or brakes.

Anyhow...thanks for the feedback guys.....I may go another year before changing the tires out

I believe there is a kick start kit for that particular model year.

I didn't think a kick start would work on a fuel injection system as the fuel pump needs electricity to run... Am I missing something?

There are fuel injected bikes fitted with kickstarters but its unclear if the Honda kit which can be fitted to the PCX will start the scooter if the battery is completely flat or removed.
I tried asking this before on here but failed to get a satisfactory response.

When I got my used Forza it had 4300 miles on it, the stock Dunlops had plenty of life left. It was the ScootSmart tire. Not a fun tire imo. So I changed it early for Pirelli Diablos. There is a really big difference once the tires on the Pirelli are scrubed in. It flicks so much easier and just wants to turn all the time, very fun.

As a multibillionaire she can buy you a battery.

I just replaced the original battery on my 2013 PCX last week at 6300 miles/10,138 km. Both tires are still original; we'll find out this month whether the rear will pass the Texas annual inspection or not. The wear bars are visible but not level with the tread yet. Stay tuned...

UPDATE:

Writing that post made me realize that it's already the month of May, so I got my courage up and rode the little feller down to our neighborhood inspection station, Llantas y Stickers Garza, to see if the rear tire would pass muster.

!No problema! Flew right through..

Our friend YouYou might point out, correctly, that Garza's is no M.O.T., but since they are an authorized agent of the great State Of Texas, I'm going to go ahead and assume that the State Of Texas, in its wisdom, has conferred its blessing upon my five-year-old Dunlop TTs, now with 6293 miles and still going strong..
