Will do. Hopefully it won't be a big fail, but you never know unless you try. I have been thinking about this for quite some time now, so I think I have worked all of the kinks out of it in my mind. I am still not sure where I will link the added wiring into, but I have a Service Manual, and I have studied it many times. Now I will have to see for myself

I could hook all of the new lights into the low beam but I want them to be on even when the high beams are on, so I have an idea that may involve a diode and wiring for both high and low beams....but I will study that more once I have everything apart.

Ah yes, it would appear you're right:

This is what the bike looks like now. More pictures to come, eventually. I have now drilled out the holes for the lights without taking the light assembly apart. Unfortunately that means that some of the filings from the effort fell into the light assembly itself. I don't want to have to take the light apart, but if I had to, how hard is it to take apart?? Anyone??

Mel, have you discovered any plastic damage in your disassembly?

Nope. I have taken this bike apart about 6 times now. Whatever was broken previously is still broken. :-)
The piece that I always have a problem with is the Meter Panel Cover. I think I broke some side tabs when I pulled it off originally, so they are still broken, though you can't tell it after I reassemble everything.

Even with the service manual I had a problem with it and had to pull up the pdf I made of the How-to-Dismantle-a-PCX thread that Maddiedog made long ago. It helps me everytime.

Well, I have finished wiring the extra lights in, tested them, and installed them. Now for the big job, putting the bike back together. While i was putting the light assembly back on i had to disconnect some of my other accessory lights. There is no way to hook some of them back up, so i will have to chase down those wires and pull them all out. Well, that is a job for another day.

Me too. When I was a teen i said I wouldn't make it to 25. When I was 25 I said I wouldn't make it to 35. I'm still here at 71, so I guess I will be here until God says it is time. Until that time, I will just keep doing whatever it is that I am doing and not think about it.
